Up here in my neck of the woods in Massachusetts there is almost no coverage at all. Its only N.G. or what is posted on the internet.

I'm on the Alabama Gulf Coast, right next to Pensacola and there is no coverage here of the case. I get my fix from WS, NG, JVM. While I don't know about getting a jury in Orlando that doesn't follow this case or know of this case by virtue of their daily coverage, I'm sure they can get an impartial jury. None of my friends know of this case except for the people I work with every day who sees me on WS and asks "oh, how's your case going?"!!!

Hey, Mama Bear----Ain't you a cutie----Love your robe.

I check most of the FL media websites daily and they are slowing down with coverage because there really hasn't been much news.
The latest big flare up was the depositions and the Oprah show cancellation.
IMO, the reason this latest doc dump didn't get much coverage is because there were no 'bombshells' in them.
Don't worry, when there is some big news, it will be well covered on WFTV, WESH, My Fox Orlando and the Orlando Sentinel. I think there is still a lot of interest in this story.:)
My local news usually has updates a few times a week.

I agree, Angora. In northeast Florida, there's been little to no Caylee coverage for a while, but there reallly hasn't been any big news since December when Caylee was found other than the death penalty being put back on the table.

Now that Casey's safely tucked away in a cell awaiting trial and the body has been found, most people feel the wheels of justice are turning. Those of us who follow the case closely and want answers to all the unanswered questions are very lucky we have the nightly coverage on HLN and more doc dumps coming.

In Kentucky, virtually NO local coverage last 2-3 months. I usually watch Mike Galanos, JVM, NG for info, but it's usually nothing I haven't already discovered here on WS. I doubt if much other coverage will occur until either the trial or something huge breaks out in discovery.
Slightly O/T, I'm wondering what other WSers think about the various panel members on these shows. I like most of them, but that Janie Weintraub is off the charts ridiculous. I'm all for somebody being devil's advocate, but she goes so far as to say the SA side has no evidence. I do like Mike Brooks, most of the attorneys NG has on, and the local radio and TV people they use in Florida. I used to like LP, but after he kept presenting everything like he just "knew" the facts, I quit paying any attention to him.

I live in the Tampa area and there is very little in the news here. I have to google or come here to hear/read anything. There is also NG, but she exacerates everything.

I guess that this is old news. Did you realize that Cezsar Lauren is back in the US? You should remember the marine that is accused of murdering the fellow marine Lauderbach and burying her and her baby in his backyard. I only found out because I was wondering what the status of his extradition was.

I am in Oregon's Capitol city where we never hear of the Caylee story except that I watch HLN daily.

I agree with your comment on NG , also she seldom follows up with the outcomes of many stories, such as the young man who was missing from a college and blood was found on the trash shoot of the building leading to the garbage dumpster. Some stories we never hear the outcome which I feel she should follow up on since she does bring it to our attention. Another time recently she reported that a child had "bites all over her body" when it was actually one bite on the child's back as I heard on another news station. At times I feel she is somewhat rude to her guests and it makes me wonder why they return for more.

I do enjoy watching JVM until her panel is allowed to all speak at the same time and then you dont know what any of them said because you cant hear any of them. She needs a gavel....moo

Still big local news here in Orlando, but not nearly to the level that it was. I think swine flu has taken the lead. Also, a local radio celeb went to prison & that is temporarily taking a front seat too. Oh yeah, and the drought & brush fires. Must be a relief for the A family.

Don't worry Caylee, we are still here strong for you sweetheart!!

I'm in Seattle and like many never hear about this case except on Nancy Grace Bombshell hour. I thought I would burst when my cable co. took away the channel getting ready for the digital change over. I did find it on an obscure channel no. and hope they don't remove it, after 12 yrs. of free cable. With this information of the case dying down in Fla. will it benefit prosecution or defense? For some reason I feel a sense of pleasure knowing that JB maybe be rattled by the thought of, "Everyone being sick and tired of the run around his client has given society"

Hi Karen, I'm in Ohio. Very few people know much about this case, not popular at all.I read in a rag mag (right after SP.trial) the defense always likes to stall the trial after a lot of publicity, longer they wait the more people forget! :furious: thus change of venue, not prepared,etc..It's disgusting. No matter where they go in Florida most people have heard of this case.I still think they could get a jury together in Orlando if they tried hard enough.I think this is why NG. is keeping it alive, she doesn't want it to fade.

Only people who get extensive coverage in my area are the people in Congress and the President. Now since Friday it's been the VP ....... and the swine flu. Absolutely no Caylee coverage since Dec.

Me thinks JB might have difficulty getting a change of venue when the trial actually does begin.

I'm here in the northeast...NYC metro area. Only coverage I get is NG and the occational blurb on Fox. No local coverage that I have seen

UK .. no coverage that I know of, ever, even at the beginning. I only heard of this case cause I was in the US when the story broke and I was intrigued.

I live in the Grand Canyon state and there is sparse coverage here. When something does appear, it's located on the second or third page of the front section for national news coverage. Usually coverage is present when there is a document dump or Casey appears in court or Cindy and George make a tv appearance.
However, I am well versed because I'm such a news junky. I use this sight as well as Sirius radio (HLN channel) and of course Nancy's show and Jane's Issues show.
Most of my pals, like me, are former or now employeed news reporters and we discuss the case often regardless that it is happening on the other side of the country.
Thanks to all you Floridians who provide us with local coverage and public reactions and your opinions. I find that I'm on Websleuth daily and spend an estimated hour on this case before I move on to other topics. Hooray for Websleuths!

I live on the Gulf Coast of FL. Prior Doc Dumps were reported on the 1st or
2nd page of the Local news paper. After this Doc Dump there is just a small 3 paragraph report of Cain's response and Williams being in the woods on page 6. Included in the 3 paragraphs is a small pic of Caylee, the one with her hand on her chin. The SA was right when she said to wait for the change of venue, as I see it public interest is dwindling except for those of us seeking justice for Caylee! Any other Floridians notice the decrease in coverage, also what is the coverage Nationally with the exception of JVM and NG?

Funny you should mention this.
Check out this morning's (Sunday 5/3) Orlando Sentinel front page w/ HUGE JB article.
I had to save it & put it on my domain b/c Sentinel changes it daily.

...and the story continued on pg A12 which took ENTIRE page.

I am a new poster-but have been lurking for months. I also check out the FLA websites daily and have noticed a decrease in coverage. There has been so many "huge" news stories, lately, I'm not surprised. In addition, there wasn't a "bombshell" Friday in the doc dump. Even though it isn't front page all of the time, I think everyone knows about the case - and Bozo's expected motion for change of venue is useless - unless he can move it to Mars.
