Where did you find this tidbit. That's the first I've heard it mentioned.
Also, I thought LE did question the guy. Didn't they do that when they issued the trespass warning? He explained to them that he was there looking for Caylee. That's what started all the fuss in the first place.

In the case against Casey Anthony, Orange County Deputy Richard Cain submitted his letter of resignation (read resignation letter) Monday and will not appeal the discipline he was given following a professional standards investigation into allegations that he did not properly investigate a citizens tip relating to the Caylee Anthony investigation.
So Cain leaves Law Enforcement.
