MC was taken to the river today without her attorney. There has been much discussion about that - but if this was part of a plea deal AND a "gotcha" moment by letting the world know she had been there (so "other" people involved know she's talking) - her attorney sent her with his blessing. We have not heard anything about her atty screaming to high heaven about LE escorting his client to "the crime scene" so I'm thinking at least this plea deal we're hearing is probable.

Maybe Jo told the only truth they can prove from the beginning. Perhaps how Tommy has given some evidence that corrobarates (sp) with Jo's story and they have confronted Misty with this. What if these two guys told the truth and Misty was the lone hold out.
Makes sense to me. She played the 'be quiet and it will go away" til she wore the wheels off it. Then she sees Ron is being treated better than her. Teresa stuffed her under the bus this morning and cops offered her a deal.
Maybe they let her hear Rons cals to his girlfriends....JMO
I maybe wrong. I just don't believe Jo and Tommy killed Haleigh. I think they disposed of the lil angel. Sorry for the long post.

Could MC have told LE that the "gun" was thrown in there as well? IIRC LE took (or noted) one firearm but we are still puzzled about the "gun in the ditch". SOMETHING is in that river and LE found SOMETHING to change it from a search to a crime scene.

We didn't get any LE on camera today - so no questions asked by anyone as to "did they find anything". LE found something today - what was it?

And if Tommy or Ronald threw the gun in there and Misty knows about it..it would be a perfect set up to blame it on Joe to corroborate her 'story', even if he had nothing to do with it.

The area being searched is very close to where Misty's mom and dad were living on Feb. 9, 2009. Not even 1/4 mile. Look at Papa's maps-he has posted several.

God knows I have been asking and trying to figure out exactly where Lisa and Hank, Timmy and Chelsea lived. We think Chelsea lived at 130 Magnolia in Crescent City. Anyone have any idea how far that is from crime scene. We don't know if Lisa was staying with Tommy before 2/9. They could have been staying with Chelsea...imo.

On a different note, we has AS and TN and Hope's mom, Donald and Lisa all living there too.

I need a map and am at a loss w/o my computer with all the information.

If I've been told once, I've been told a hundred times, that Haleigh did not die by gun fire. That the MH would have been bloody, and it would have been found out. For some reason I can't shake the feeling that they were looking for a gun. If RC was responsible for Haleigh's death, then he may have disposed of her body himself, and Misty has no idea where she is. Maybe she was with him when he threw the gun in the river, so that could be all they have to go on. If Ronald didn't commit this crime, my sleuthing days are over. It means I have no judgment of character.

Last post. I promise for a lil bit.
It doesn't make sense that after 14 months, all the drama, all the money LE has spent to prosecute this case comes back to the first person they were alerted to. I cannot fathom in my wildest imigination that after all this time they are gonna arrest Jo. Misty and Tommy AND Ron would have given him up before they were booked in jail back in Jan. I think this alone indicates that this isn't a Tommy or Joe arrest. It might be Misty. Might be and in my mind probably is Ron.

I agree Maryann - I don't believe that Haleigh was shot - there would have been a blood trail. But looking for that gun could help put other pieces in place.

We heard yesterday that an arrest was imminent and nothing yet. I'm not putting much stock in that statement. Its the "deal" MC has made that has me intrigued - who could she be testifying against?

I'm sure LE has found something. They had to have found something to now call it a crime scene. And whatever they have found must link back to the perp - that MC is going to testify against.

I don't think its JO - not for a minute. The FBI and FDLE let him go home last night. They don't do that. If they are really interested in JO, they keep him there for hours - checking out this, checking out that - LE will keep him there as long as they can until they have to charge him or let him go. The fact that they just let him go home says they aren't all that interested. Maybe they were just "verifying" some things with him about what they have.

I agree. There hasn't been this much activity in this case since the first two weeks after Haleigh went missing. Now they're calling the search site a crime scene. I think the searchers found something in the way of evidence for LE to declare it a crime scene.

As for who the perp is that MC would be testifying against, I've always felt that RC was the perp, and MC was covering for him. But, with all of MC's stories, LE is going to have to have some sort of credible evidence other than MC's testimony. I can't see LE making an arrest and charging anyone based on MC's testimony alone.

I think if they find a gun in the river there, it is part of the set-up of Joe. Misty somehow knew a gun was thrown in there and she is leading LE to it and is claiming Joe put it there. NO WAY Haleigh was killed by gunfire.

oh oh oh oh I know - back- way back in the beginning remember everyone was saying there was "something" missing from the MH that was Haleigh's and that she would rarely go anywhere without it? We "speculated" about what it could be - possibly an inhaler - maybe THAT is what was found.

Thanks for the post Gwen. Another poster on here stated that maybe Misty was taken to the station only to view the actions or responses of Ron. I believe that LE interviewed Ron and maybe Misty got to listen in on the conversation. Maybe Ron through all the guilt her way and in retalliation she said "I will testify against Ron". Can LE do that? It sounded like a good idea to me. When Ron was taken to the station I wonder if his lawyer was present?
