I wonder if the eyewitness that is being talked about is an eyewitness to the murder, an eyewitness to the disposal, or an eyewitness to both. If an eyewitness to the disposal only, it could just be a nearby homeowner or passerby who saw someone throw something in the river.

My guess is the eyewitness is Tommy.
I voted within the week. It just seems like it is coming but it could be wishful thinking too.

I voted one week, though I think it could go as long as 2 weeks or even a month if plea deals are part of the mix.

I think Monday. Wishful thinking, maybe? If they know, they need to get 'em

I voted "none of the above" because I believe there is much more here than meets the eye. I do not believe it would be in the best interests of many people to have the truth come out.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope the GUILTY parties get hung, but I have little faith.

My opinion only

It's hardly ever in the best interests of a lot of people to bring charges of homicide against anyone. It's bound to hurt the families of those charged. But somehow, I just don't think LE is too worried about that. When they get all their ducks in a row, and have enough evidence to prove their case, they'll turn it over to the state attorney's office and let them take the next step. They (SA) or a grand jury will be the ones to decide... not PCSO.
Those who think it's going to happen within the next few days... don't hold your breath. It takes time to build a case against someone, so I would say 2 weeks wouldn't be a stretch. Maybe longer.
If it comes sooner than that... then I would say they've had their eyes on this person(s) for quite a while.
Btw, I didn't vote. We don't know WHO the charges will be against, so how would we know WHEN?

as of Steph Watts show.........JOE is still free in TNN
all players are separated from each other, no communications
and someone said that arrests could come as soon as this week.........IIRC

I said within the week. I don't think Hardy after months of complete silence would have called a press conference declaring this a homicide, called a meeting with members of the family supposedly telling them to prepare for a funeral unless he had concrete evidence that Haleigh was deceased, had concrete evidence against the perps and was ready to bring charges.
The word "funeral" usually indicates the presence of remains; otherwide "memorial service" is substituted. :waitasec: MOO

I think it will be longer than 2 weeks. There is no statute of limitations on murder so no hurry to file charges; the apparent suspects are in jail or accounted for; and I believe LE will make sure they have the evidence needed for the DA to successfully prosecute whoever is charged. MOO

I voted two weeks based on Steve Brown's statement that everyone would be surprised. I am guessing it will take a few days to arrange the funeral and I believe things will then move forward quite quickly.
I also agree with the poster who said they will be watching the funeral attendants very closely.

Funeral? What funeral? Egads - I've only been away from the pooter 24 hours!

Off to do more reading...

I voted 2 weeks...but am hopeful it'll happen tommorrow!

I thought Steve Brown said no one would be surprised. I better run off and find what he said...oh my.:Bicicleta:

I'm feeling pessimistic and I don't think anything will happen fast.
The sheriff briefed the family before the search on the docks and they may have had faith that they could find her remains there but it was said they didn't find human remains. If they don't have a body it is much harder to build a case when all you have are several persons of interest who are all telling a different story each time you talk to them. They may eventually, but the way I see it now, if they charge all of them together the defence can say, we just made it up to get out of the drug charges, or because of police pressure, we were forced to confess, and it's not a real confession, look at how the stories don't even line up, and you didn't find a body there so it proves it was a made up detail. If they charge Misty alone, her defence is going to point at Tommy and Joe and say, there is reasonable doubt it wasn't Misty. If they charge Joe, his lawyer will point at Misty and Tommy. If they charge Tommy, his defence will point at Misty and Joe. If they charge anybody else his/her defence is going to point at all three of them and say these people said they were there, why are you looking at my client? The circumstantial evidence had better be airtight to convict.

Anyway, if it's Misty, Tommy, or Ronald that they're going to charge there's no hurry, none of them are going anywhere. If it's Joe or someone else at large there might be a risk of reoffending and it would be a more urgent matter.

I voted 2 weeks, I believe there is still much to sort through, LE has still not gotten the " Logical story",. Who knows if they will get it, ever. JMO

I voted longer than two weeks, but I sure wish i was wrong. They are in Florida and what happens when charges are filed or an arrest is made? The floodgates open.

I believe that LE has a plethora of circumstantial evidence in this case but have always needed testimony or that one piece to tie it all in together, especially if no body is discovered. When we get some of the first tests back related to the search last week we could see something, if they didn't get what they were looking for then who knows. Personally I do not believe that Haleigh's body is going to be discovered.

I believe there is a very good chance there was a sexual assault and whoever dumped her made very sure that would not be found out. JMO

I remember someone recently mentioning an eyewitness seeing MC carrying a trash bag by SJR [or the woods].. Maybe they recovered the trash bag and it had something significant in it?

Whenever it is, I pray for Haleigh's sake, they have enough evidence to nail ALL of the people involved! It seems like this entire family knows little bits and pieces and are covering for each other!
JMO

I voted longer than two weeks.

I think the authorities will give this to The Grand Jury for an indictment. So, whenever The Grand Jury convenes..JMHO

Today would be nice. :)
Feel's like waiting for a bomb to drop and I am so anxious for the truth to come out. This case has been stalled for so long and suddenly it's propelled to the near finish line, but seems like it stalls again before stepping over. Do I sound impatient? ;)
