If he disputes the findings of the SA expert, of course.

His credibility is toast since the Phil Spector trial. That is exactly why JB wanted JP to approve 2 experts.

I think he was indeed working pro bono. I saw that Ng episode. But now the state is willing to pay. Heck why not? There are many companies in this nation that will give you free just what they think is needed until you need them. Many Lawyers around here give a free half hour consultation. Some customers need to see it first. Nothing wrong with any of that in my opinion.

You gotta wonder, what Casey is thinking when listening to her attorney get shot down over and over, is it 'gee I should have picked another attorney' OR is it 'I wonder if the commissary is out of pork rinds'. Honestly makes you wonder LOL

Snipped by me. I'm telling you, the only reason Casey is so quiet through the hearings is that she's playing the quiet game with CM, and he keeps losing, except maybe for today. I think it was tie this time.

Her mind is so not on the hearing unless the words "death penalty" or "LWOP" comes up. That's the only time she gives a crap is when she's reminded that she may not EVER leave prison and have her Costa Rica RV trip.

I admit, I laughed out loud and said a few choice words when he dared to ask for that. AND I was thinking, well if you are obviously thinking of buying two USED cars at that bargain basement price of $6,000+, you certainly would not get the EXACT same test results of dead body smell, because he would have to use ANOTHER dead body, and that would mix with the smells of a used car that was NOT KC's car, and therefore, the results would be ENTIRELY DIFFERENT.

No kidding. I almost thought he was going to ask to buy two corpses to go along with those cars. I mean if he wants to get the same results...

If his testimony is at variance with the State's experts, yes. His credibility is shot since the Spector trial, which is why the defense wanted 2 experts, imo.

Not really. I believe in the fair trial system. The state has a lot of resources. The only way to make it fair is for the defense to have a lot of resources. I enjoy my rights do not wish to give them up for anyone. Anybody is welcome to write their representative and ask to have the system changed. I don't think many in this country would agree to give up their rights. Including their right to a fair trial. IMO

I think it's much more likely that Baez as usual does not know his Pro Bono from his elbow, and is claiming fees for someone who has publicly declared on TV that he will take no fee.

Nothing in your post has a thing to do with the question at hand. Nothing of Lee asking for State funds has a single, solitary thing to do with "Casey getting a fair trial". Or, are you insinuating that Lee would only be fair and honest if he were getting paid? No, that can't be it, because he wasn't working pro bono in the case that he was proven to be, and declared by the presiding Judge to be deceitful and not forthcoming.

FYI, the question that you responded to up-thread, (just a few short posts up, no less), pertained to Henry Lee giving his word that he would work pro bono, and then suddenly changing his tune and begging for State funds.

It seems that too many in our society need to familiarize themselves with the words "self-respect", "honoring ones own given word", and "self-dignity".

Henry Lee is representative of none of those character assets since his fingernail fiasco, and he repeats his own shameful character reflection again in this case by not standing as a man upon his own given word.

Well, somebody better sedate her for Tuesday's hearing when AL is arguing Death Penalty motions. KC is gonna be a wreck.

I am so looking forward to this particular hearing. I'm certain AL will be bringing her "A" game but it all will be for naught cause Judge Perry will really have no reason to grant the motion. Oh well Casey it will be a rough day. His honor has no trouble ruling from the bench, and does so swiftly! Love that!
