Did anyone notice when she started to leave the courtroom to take KC back if the note was still in her pocket or if she took it out?
The note...
"I like you. Do you like me?
[yes] [no]"
I think it's probably innocuous. I and my paralegal give notes to the bailiff all the time--having to do with the current court proceedings. It's because you're not allowed to speak while someone else is up at the podium, or the judge is talking, etc.-- you can't interrupt the proceedings, and it may be the only way to get the court clerk's attention. In my experience, I've passed notes that read: "The court said we were breaking for recess at 10:30 and it's now 10:45.", or "I'm needed in Department 25 in 5 minutes, I need priority now!" etc.

The male baliff looks at her and imo has a quizical look on his face, as if he is questioning what is going on. Apparently, the female baliff got that impression too because she felt the need to explain...holding her hand up to her ear like a phone.
I still would question it. If the attorney gave her a note, what for? Would the attorney not be able to speak to the corrections officer? Why would they need to give the officer a note?
It would make me more suspicious. . Did someone give the attorney a note and the attorney gave it to the corrections officer? Still makes no sense. Still see something wrong with this picture. :waitasec:
What you state is true...but she never read the note. That would negate any priority it may have possessed. No motion or conversation with court clerk took place, so she obviously didn't address any ongoing/current court issue.
Thanks, that is hepful. The fact that it was done right out in the open like that makes me think it was probably harmless as well.
Baez's Paralegal passes a note/envelope to female corrections officer at Casey Anthony Motions Hearing today.

Not sure if this is information worthy enough for it's own thread. If so, Mod's please move as needed.
I find it very disturbing if this note was not for Baez. I never say the corrections offices give Baez the note. I only saw her put it in her shirt uniform pocket. My big question is this. Are the Anthony's or someone else passing notes to Casey and if so, is this not illegal? Thoughts?
Take note:
Paralegal passes note to female corrections officer. In the first video of the hearing.
At about 1:51 in the first audio the paralegal gets up and goes somewhere it doesn't show where she went though.
She returned before the 10 min mark.
At about the 12:18 mark of the video she hands the note over!!!
How can we get a screen shot of this? Anyone know? TIA
I am watching the hearing for the first time...an in regards to the note passing which I just noticed at the 12:17 mark.
Was there an exchange already going on between the 2 that I missed?
Edit:This is what I observed
The Paralegal looked over at the CO,
The CO put her hand out, the Paralegal extended her hand with the note and passed it.
CO, IMO, did read the note, she then looked over towards the defense table and then tucked the note into her pocket.
The male CO looked at the female CO, with a what's up hand gesture and she made the telephone sign on her ear,
The male CO pointed with his finger towards the Defense table and the female CO nodded YES..
I think Baez's or Cheney's phone was Vibrating on the table..

BBM: Maybe I'm not understanding where your coming from... first I Think the male & female officers are approx the same distance from Baez as his assistant and would have heard the phone on their own. Second, why would JB's assistant need to tell the officer(s) about JB's phone? Why not just walk up to the table and tell JB himself. I see no need to pass a note.
On a side note for those that have questioned security issues, shackles, etc... being the reason for the note...that would have to be brought to the Judge's attention anyway, no need for secrecy. I believe one of the defense attorneys would have to address the court in regards to security issues, no shackles, etc...The assistant can't just pass a note and say "hey next time no shackles", etc... JMO
lamb chop said:Maybe defense was asking if it would be all right for KC to wish her mother a Happy Mother's Day since prisoners are not permitted to talk to anyone. jmo
Then all they'd have to do is whisper it in their ear..I don't think a note being passed on is appropriate, IMO..I think this is another "entitled" act...rules and procedures do not apply to this defense team...:innocent:
I do believe KBelich will check into this since she was made aware. I do hope she gets back to you...JMHO
