The look on Misty's face is not going to help her at all. She looks angry and cocky; judges don't like that. Also, they should give her something for her skin, it is all broken out, and must be terribly uncomfortable. Who is the heavy set woman in back and off to the right of Misty that seems to be smirking?

Good point. Hope was cocky on the jail calls and even though she pled no contest she got 15 years. Misty's defiance can only hurt her more ... it isn't going to help anyone.

But would they have needed this info for Hope's situation? Seems to me LE could have/should have gotten chem results back fairly quickly. Just wondering out loud....I personally think (read HOPE) that there is something else delaying this process and I am praying its the truth......:crazy:

Well, I certainly don't want to be the one to dash your hopes, HH. I'd love to believe that you're right. So I won't even mention that Hope had a court appointed attorney who didn't even consider taking Hope's case to trial. No evidence needed to plea no contest.

LOL My hopes are dashed routinely :crazy: but I genuinely appreciate the thought My thinking is that all pills, baggies etc were tested at the same time--but that is my using logic again and as we all know too well this case doesn't lend itself to logic. Ah, Hope--I totally agree with you that her attorney was of little to no benefit--though I believe her outstanding charges and priors and mouth didn't assist. She should appeal but that is for a different thread. I guess my point is that LE should have had all of the results on the contraband back WAY before now--according to a pharmacist friend of mine this is an EASY process and results are easy and fast. So I am assuming that all tests were probably back within a day so I cannot believe that Fields is waiting for forensics on the drugs unless he opted for an independent lab and that would have cost HIM as I believe he is now court appointed. All JMO...... and not trying to add to confusion.

Misty looks like a zombie, as if she has not slept well for weeks. She could be on anti-depressants that might cause the weight gain. I doubt that Misty is eating healthfully, and that could surely cause the skin eruptions. Also, if she is having to use an inhaler frequently because she is under stress and having severe asthma symptoms, cortico-steroidal meds can cause weight gain and acne. I am currently experiencing one of my worst asthma episodes ever: I've gained a few pounds and have a couple of zits - totally unacceptable at age 60

Depression and experiencing anxiety can be caused by the use of steroids also, so if she is on an anti-depressant and taking steroids for asthma attacks brought on by alergies or stress she is in a catch 22 situation...Not in a good place healthwise especially since this change in her appearance has occurred in a very short period of time...JMO

That goes for any promises his momma may have made to her also...She was/is a stoooopid girl to not know they were setting her up.. Now she has nothing.. IIRC, on one of the tapes released not so long ago Misty mentioned to Hank that she had been on meds but they took her off the meds because her skin was breaking out and a med was believed to be the culprit. But that conversation was a while ago so I would think her skin would have cleared up by now, if the med was causing the problem.

In court, Misty had an "I don't care anymore" look, IMO. That can come from depression so if they did in fact take her off an anti-depressant med, I hope the put her on something else soon. It's difficult for me to not feel a little sorry for Misty...though that feeling is fleeting as my thoughts go immediately to Haleigh.

Haleigh's fate far outweighs anything that has happened to any of these players.

I am glad I was not the only one who felt alittle sorry for Misty after seeing that, she is human after all.
However, Haleigh missing on her watch...well, she does need to tell all!

Fields said he's waiting for results from FDLE. FDLE has six regional labs that handle evidence analysis for the entire state. It's reasonable to presume that there is considerable backlog. It's also possible that Fields noted something irregular or inconclusive in the initial results and asked for re-testing. We've never seen the video from the St. Johns arrest. Maybe there's a problem with the video surveillance. There are a number of possible causes for the hold up. On the other hand, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you are right, and Fields is stalling in anticipation of evidence related to Haleigh.
