I believe Kaine has EVERY RIGHT to know how Terri paid this amount of money for her lawyer. She should have to account for every single penny of it to ensure that she hasn't used anything that could be considered part of his money. How would it make you feel if you found out that the woman you were married too, killed your son, sold your son, or whatever the case may be and then used half of your money to front her defense??? Witchhunt, pressure, or whatever the case may be, I say go for it Kaine. He has a full right to know exactly where that money came from....JMO

Says in that affidavit that she told a third party, in writing, that she had paid that amount.

Sadly, though, the theory you suggest seems the most plausible.

Well, I'm glad she is talking to them.

Kaine thinks this money is his? Talk about dishonesty--he would know if she had this money. I'm sure he has his suspicions on where the money came from (her parents/family?). This is nothing more than harassment, IMO.

Kaine never said the money is his. He wants to know if she promised Houze something that IS his--like the house. Kaine has the right to be sure he is not financially obligated in any way for her criminal defense bill.

How about future rights to the Terri Horman story - sold to highest bidder. If Terri owns her own story. it's Terri's story to tell. She's the one under the microscope here. And, since she's kept her mouth shut, we actually don't know what the heck her side of the story is. Are such rights marketable? Quite possibly, they are.

Why aren't we hearing more about Kyron on HLN crime "news" outlets? :waitasec: Because other outlets have the exclusives?

If there's a market for future story rights, my guess is Kaine & Desiree are gettin advice about playing the same game ... and yes, that would be my inner cynic bouncing around my posts again. :snooty:

With the mention of "considers it marital liability" I would bet he knows or suspects that she borrowed the money and is concerned that he'll be on the hook for it since they're not divorced yet. No way would I want to pay lawyers to defend my soon-to-be ex-wife against charges she tried to murder me. Not to mention the other matter.

IMO, it's an appropriate disclosure request made under the divorce action. Financial disclosure requests are totally relevant, and are not harassment. When source of funds is determined, gifts from Terri's parents for her defense may be excluded as marital property and determined irrelevant to divorce finances. But if source of funds is something else - such as sale of family photos ... there may be relevance & some standing. :cow:

IMO, the harassment comes in with the demand to pay half of his attorney's fees (when *he* filed on *her*) and statements like, "He argues that he doesn't have sufficient income or resources to pay for his attorneys and meet his other financial obligations for the children and himself." Wha...huh? She had to go to her family for money, maybe he needs to go to his.

I think Kaine knows exactly where this money came from, and to pretend not to in order to file yet another motion on Terri~especially with the claims entailed, IMO, is harassment. He could easily have quietly filed a disclosure request for the source of the funds. All of these "extras"? Not appropriate and not honest, IMO.

Well, I don't see LE giving Kaine that information. At least I hope they didn't. Most likely, one of her other "friends" provided Kaine with an email to that effect. JMO.

Do not confuse what the parents are doing with what the lawyers are doing. Kaine's attorney probably came up with this all by her brilliant self and Kaine has probably spent all of 30 minutes of his life on the issue.
