I believe that there are many things at play here. She started taking care of Kyron at the beginning of their relationship. She continued on with that and then had a baby. She had to blow off teaching and body building and instead stay at home with 2 kids. She was probably getting resentful and bored. Thus, she started the process to get her teaching license re-instated.

We don't know what went on behind closed doors. Their marriage was obviously (to me) starting to get rocky before June. Her older son moved out. Perhaps there were financial issues with this economy?? I mean, they did have a marriage in Hawaii and he did "buy" her a red mustang. Credit problems? Losing their house maybe? Who knows.

She obviously cracked and seemingly had a "plan" to "fix" things. Motives are usually pretty much the same across the board...jealousy, love, money, and then plain serial killer crazy.

He says she was a good person until 2008. Is that timing around when she had the baby - or when she was pregnant? I guess I've been figuring baby's birth in the last quarter 2008 ...

It makes a difference, as Kaine has pointed to the idea of PPD ... that would be a bit of time after birth ... not at birth ... and not during pregnancy. IMO

I know that Kaine has made statements regarding a landscaper being hired to kill him and that he believed that MC started an affair with her on or around 6/30, after he filed for divorce. MC appears to be denying it.

Well..she has had a different kind of relationship with him than i have with male " friends" thats for sure...

That would tie right in to what Kaine has said before about PPD.

I have seen photos online of them when Kyron was little up till the baby was a year old.I can see the change in her appearance and demeanor in the photos.She used to dress the whole family in Halloween outfits alike,holidays and birthdays decorated just as you'd expect a teacher to do.A nice tidy home and comparing pics to now she's changed.It's like looking at a different person,I really feel something major has happened with her in the last year or more.Even at the baby's one year birthday,there were kids Kyron's age,birthday bags and adult friends,it's really odd looking at her now and seeing this is the same woman.I don't understand it.

Nobody in their right mind would marry someone while thinking they're a bad person, IMO. So the title of this thread does not really surprise me.

Few of us marry total jerks knowingly but somehow a bunch of people end up divorcing from them anyway.

I think Kaine may have had his head in the sand somewhat. Guys have been known to be blinded by love and sex. There are at least a few incidences in her past, the accusation of cheating by her ex husband and her DUI and child endangerment charges, that show less then a "good" person. I think once she had the baby his perception of her changed, maybe more then she did.

I know people with DUI's and they are beyond a doubt "good" people. Some of the charges were from 10 years ago, 5 years ago, and last year. The important thing is that they all learned from their mistake. Having one DUI does not make a person bad. I've worked with people addicted to heroine and I don't think they are less than good. Life isn't always fair, especially when you don't have lots of money to pay a defense attorney. moo mho

Thanks for this. Technically speaking if the change in Terri was due to PPD related to birth of her daughter, I don't think it would have happened in 2008. It would have been 2009.

Maybe Kaine just misspoke. Or maybe he's misdiagnosed his wife for story-telling purposes, or, to encourage her to be forthcoming...

I have no idea. Are you talking about the MFH? If so maybe she was just waiting for it to actually happen or working on it to happen. When it didn't, she snapped and went after Kyron. IMO

I can tell you from personal experience that PPD/PPA/PPP can completely and utterly change you. Normally, I think I am a darn good mom...very into attachment parenting, babywearing, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, organic babyfood-making, homeschooling, etc. That said, when I suffered from PPD/PPA/PPP after the birth of my first daughter, I was suicidal and homicidal to the point I literally did try to harm my baby girl out of sheer desperation for relief from the thoughts/feelings that were in my head that were (to me) very, very real. I also tried to put her up for adoption without telling my husband when she was 4 months old. Looking back, it's hard to believe that was me. Because that is soooo NOT me! But PPD/PPP changed me....big time.

Note: I am absolutely NOT defending Terri. I believe she did something horrible to Kyron. But I also believe the root of her evil is psychiatric illness that she may or may not have had any control over (we don't know if she took her meds or otherwise cooperated with treatment).

The only thing that makes me even consider TH's innocence is how fast and willing KH has been to throw her under the bus.

Frankly it kinda feels like a set up on his part. I can understand a person being gobsmacked by someone turning out to be a total liar, especially in regard to his child being missing. But at the end of the day I wonder about him as well. What kind of husband would be so willing to go to the press with his damage stories and throwing his supposed wife to the wolves like this.

It really comes across that he has an axe to grind and some sort of bitterness. He's much to cavalier in my opinion. You'd think he'd be gutted. Not giving PCs.

Wife disappears your child, and won't cooperate with investigation. You find out wife tried to take a hit out on you. I would definitely have an axe to grind, and be a bit on the bitter side. I think he has shown tremendous strength in not pummeling the b****!

This quote could refer to ME! I married - and divorced - TWO red-headed, blue-eyed, left-handed, smoking, drinking Sailors!!!

I'd like to think that the issue of not being a "good picker" lies with me - and that's why I've pretty much sworn off of men until my child is 18....

I think when you don't have a great track record with men, you owe it to yourself to do some soul-searching and discover the reason WHY you pick the men you pick. I think if TMH did this she might discover some mighty truths about herself!
