Wow, all these people being called to GJ to recall something that happened so many weeks ago. Makes me hope I'm never called in as a witness. Do you think they still have video from that long ago? Or maybe LE got it a while ago. I'd think either that was her regular stop and there was something unusual or memorable about her that day, or there was video footage that spurred someone's memory. But wow, I doubt I could remember one customer from weeks ago.

But remember, it would jump out the next day with the news coverage. And the tapes would have been checked by detectives, store people by fairly quickly.

Not everyone has a bad memory. Those workers always impress me with their manners and their ability to juggle the insane and quirky orders their customers make. If they are in the GJ for two hours we know they remember something, eh? ;) Thank GOODness!

Testifying MORE THAN TWO HOURS? Wow - I cannot imagine talking *only* about a coffee order for that long. What's going on here!!!!????

Have you heard how some coffees are ordered?
"I'll take a grande half decaf, single vanilla double carmel macchiato almond frappucino twisted with Espresso Con Panna shot of butterscotch shake of cinnamon pinch of unsweetened cocoa powder stir in low fat milk topped with whipping cream and shaved dark chocolate. Not too hot. No, make that blended ice and two green straws. Do you have any almond biscotti?"

That alone can take 2 hours.

Okay now my real post:
I think they are getting every person that they can, to tell everything that they know. And get their ducks in a row. Thank you LE! I do not want to ever see this case go against that defense attorney with any stone left unturned.
Of course, that is if TH and company are responsible for Kyron's disappearance and if it goes to trial.

To me, more exciting is the fact that KOIN says Mrs Porter also testified today. Now, if they have known for awhile that she would be called in and testifying today, is this why the presser was scheduled for tomorrow? I have thought all along that Kyrons teacher holds a significant key to this, and I am anxious to hear what she says happened...

Does someone have a link that Mrs. Porter testified today? If I missed it, sorry - I didn't see it in the Today's Current News Thread.

Me too! Dare I say TH's life of crime is over???:woohoo:

HHhhmmm... I wonder why this visit to starbucks was left out of her overly detailed runthru of her entire days events sent via email on June 5th. (maybe DY was correct afterall that Terri COULDN'T[or wouldnt] remember the events of her day on June 4th) Cuz she sure left out the starbucks trip and must be of some relevance as the employees were called before the GJ and even more telling their testimony was over 2 hours long...

When we first moved to OR from CA some 20 years ago there was no Espresso here in So. OR. All of a sudden we see this sign one day at a gas station "CHAIN SAW OIL AND ESPRESSO HERE NOW"

I'm sorry but the images that came to mind from that were hilarious and LOBO, we said "Only in Oregon". (O/T Just thought I'd share a laugh.)

haha.. I used to get my fix at a hardware/espresso place at the coast back in the day...

It's possible that these employees went to LE the second they heard about Kyron

It is. It's possible they overheard a thing or 2 as well. Maybe. All I know is that I haven't been called to GJ yet so I'm doin' purdy good...

"Also on Monday, a Portland grand jury continued to hear testimony and Kyron's homeroom teacher, Kristina Porter, was seen leaving the courthouse. She did not comment on the session."

I'm gonna throw this out there, so bear with me... lol

I dunno how OR was affected by the murders of the police officers at a coffee shop in WA. But. Baristas (and baristos, if so inclined) around here have been more aware/cognizant of their surroundings, their regulars, etc. There was also a local burglar hitting the coffee kiosks around here.

Is it possible that the OR baristas were on a higher alert since the murders of the police officers? Or is that just a WA thang?

Personally ...I love my maxwell house...however..my son in law and daughter go to starbucks all the time and spend quite a bit of money..which I get a little annoyed about..I'm coming in late tonight..but if she laid her petticoat down and said all of her life was a bed of wasp's to her clerk at Starbucks...you as a person at starbucks...what would you really think..to me, jmo, yeah, aha, yeah aha...however $ 50,000...good ole cup of java to me!

Yes, gibby, that was a horrific crime. So sad for the police officers that lost their lives and their young families. Trust me, we Oregonians are aware. Good point that maybe that stirred an awareness!

Do the Starbucks have drive-thru? In Canada, you have to walk in and order at the counter. If Terri walked in, then baby K must have been with her. Maybe someone else was with her. Like someone mentioned before, maybe she ordered more than one drink.

I also live in canada and all the Starbucks in my city have drive thrus (thankfully :D ).

Starbucks employees love to chat. Every time I go in, someone is always asking me how my day is, what I'm up to, am I going to work etc. etc. One guy even told me this whole long story about how he had to pick his Mom up at the airport. They even chat incessantly when I'm at a drive thru. So maybe these two employees really engaged with her and might have some insight into her frame of mind at the time.

So it IS possible that everyone has been more aware then? I figgered yawl were affected as much as we were because OR and WA, well, we are like cousins/siblings... except for that not filling yer own gas tank in OR. LOL WTH is that about? :D ;)

“I have a receipt showing I was checking out at Fred Meyer 7 miles away at 9:12am. I went to another FM looking for meds for Kitty they didn't have at the first FM. Then I was trying to get Kitty to sleep in the truck for a few minutes, but no go, so off to the gym at 11:20. Out at 12:20. Home at 12:45. Kaine home at 2. Bus at 3:30. That was my day - they keep asking me. Now on my 5th interview with them ..."

She doesn't mention a stop at Starbuck's in her timeline of that day ...

She doesn't mention a stop at Starbuck's in her timeline of that day ...

Do we know when she got coffee? If she picked it up before school then it would make sense that it isn't her timeline.

IF she picked it up in a grocery store or at a gas station (whatever you get my point) it would make sense that it wouldn't be in her timeline.

Geeze louise! First she is to vague, then she is adding too much and trying to cover her tracks...I can't even imagine what a time line that read "9:001 I checked my makeup in the rearview mirror. 9:004 I pulled into FM. 9:02 I got out of the car (WHAT OMG TWO MINUTES-WHAT WAS SHE DOING FOR TWO MINUTES!). 9:04 walked through the sliding doors and proceeded to buy a coffee (name your flavor) then I walked down XX aisle and picked up XY...ect. "

(The above was not meant personally towards you, just my general feelings about the 'timeline' and your post was used as a jumping off point).

IMO if she was at Starbucks that gives her less time to disappear kyron-which helps her defense. Personally the more places that we find out she was that morning, the less I feel she is involved.

Respectfully snipped...

ITA with the above, and also, if her timeline is a bit off, I don't find that terribly alarming. IMHO, 15 minutes here and there isn't a big deal. Unless she has receipts with a time stamp, she was/is giving approximations. If she knows what she was doing minute by minute, without receipts, well, I'd find that suspicious.

The window in which she could've done something to or with Kyron seems pretty small at this point, probably an hour to an hour and a half. Sure, it's enough time, but then she goes for coffee, to the gym, e-mails Desiree, hops on Facebook. It's all so painfully normal.

JMO but what's not normal about this.....IF the report is correct!!!!......is the time these two women were interviewed by the GJ. Two hours, even if an hour a piece, is a LONG time to testify and be questioned by the GJ. Think about it. IF the report is correct, then these employees must have seen or more probably overheard something that the prosecution thinks relevant to the case. How long does it take to ask something like, what time was it? what color shirt? did you see Ky or K. Something is going on with this testimony. JMO again.
