Ryansmom, I was JUST thinking that. I hope that he is found very soon.

I was thinking of the dreams and visions thread from the Parking Lot - it was closed down and etc etc. but from the descriptions of the searches - I think some of our members were right. I have this same feeling of dread that I had right before they found Aja. It feels like a matter of days now, does anyone else feel this way too?

Yes, I feel that way too Ryansmom. I just don't feel LE would put out the statements they have re the new searches if they didn't have something extremely positive to go on. Especially bringing someone with from the ME's office and human recovery dogs. That is so BIG in my mind.

I think part of the problem LE has is the pings can't spot an exact site, just a close area {if that is correct}. Maybe the one who disposed on Kyron didn't use his phone where the body was put, but had already started back, driving down that dirt road when he/she dialed out.

And then maybe pulled over on Skyline Rd to call out. Maybe they had thought of a question for their partner in crime. Maybe they met another car there or waited for someone before going to the disposal site !!! Oh, that so reminds me of the first 'music' video we saw with the black SUV driving down Skyline and then parked at the side of the road. I have to go back and watch that now. xox

I'm not sure if they've actually found Kyron, or if they ever will.

But I think it might be a matter of days until they arrest someone for his disappearance after this big report is given to the County Commissioners. I think the new searches were to go back over certain places with a fine-tooth comb. And who knows? Maybe they found something that actually will lead to Kyron in time.

I think they're waiting on some kind of lab result to confirm what they already suspect. They won't say anything until they're positive.

Oh, I am so encouraged by your positive thoughts.

Do you gals know if LE would have to get warrants to collect body fluids from possible suspects? It could be that red rag had DNA on it, eh?

It could have, though odds are poor from anything that's been out exposed to the elements like that. I'm thinking that the things they allowed the photographers to photograph probably weren't of any particular interest. I was thinking more along the lines of an identifiable item of clothing -- and maybe not found on this search.

Seems like I've been back revisiting the KH threads the last few days for some reason. What's going on behind the scenes that we're sensing? Something would be better than nothing at this point to keep the wheels of Justice turning.

The part about LE having an ME with them on the search was retracted as unconfirmed by all of the media outlets later that same Sunday.

I'm not feeling the same optimism that he will be found soon. Wish I was.

I feel not dread, but an absolute certainty that resolution, closure and peace are coming. I hope that LE is making progress with all the leads they've been following and that charges are nearing. It is part of why I was so excited about the renewed searches a few weekends ago, it seemed to line up with this renewed hope and faith I had that someday soon, Desiree and Kaine will have some sort of answers.

I am not convinced that searching is not still ocurring, perhaps on the quiet, two or three people in unmarked vehicle(s), quitely going about searches here and there according to leads as they come in or are developed.

This is what crossed my mind recently. Given the different tone by LE during this search, that almost certainty that *this* area was right (and the November timeline in telling DY about the new evidence that led to this search...evidence that seemed to, by her remarks/attitude about the most recent search, make her understand that this isn't a 'recovery' effort), I think it's possible they may have found physical evidence in the area. Not on this search, and not just better/more accurate ping data.

I think our enthusiasm is for good reason in reading the Sheriff said the purpose of these searches was to find 'the little boy'. That is so specific. Also Lt. Mary Lindstrom's comment " . . said officials are hoping to bring closure today to the Kyron Horman search that has lasted seven months" was more than optimistic IMO.

I am so thankful all of these people are working so hard to find Kyron and bring him home. We know Kyron has not been forgotten. xox

I feel like I've seen it as both, was the closure comment from LE or from family?

Sadly, either way, no closure yet.

It came from both. There was this from family: "I have been waiting for this search to happen for some time now," said Desiree Young, Kyron’s biological mother. "The Kyron Horman Task Force has shared the intelligence information with me, but unfortunately I can’t share that information with the media. I'm excited that today’s search will hopefully bring some closure to this case.”

. . and this from LE: "Multnomah County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Lt. Mary Lindstrand said officials are hoping to bring closure today to the Kyron Horman search that has lasted seven months".

Sorry, I should have included the link from LE in my above post. The quote from Desiree still has me stymied ~ that the search will bring 'some' closure. If, as the Sheriff says, the purpose of these recent searches is to find 'the little boy', wouldn't that imply total closure to that part of the case if his remains were found? Unless the getting of Justice as he said would be what brought total closure.

PS: There is a quote from the Sheriff in the first few pages {pp4 - 7} of this thread where he states their objective is to find Kyron and then to get Justice for him. I can grab that quote if needed.

I'm not sure family could ever have total closure. They never had a chance to say goodbye.
And even finding Kyron's body wouldn't guarantee an arrest and conviction, therefore, not "total closure". imo.

I really hope to see the case move forward, even if sadly that means finding Kyron's body, but I also remember Staton saying he hoped to have the case "wrapped up by the end of the week" last June 8th.

Hi Mmmagique, Maybe that is what Desiree meant. Last weekend Brooke Wilberger's mom said the same thing. She said everyone talks about closure but she doesn't think there is ever complete closure. xox

BBM: I was thinking the same thing when I first heard about this recent search in January.

I was so hopeful that there would be a BIG BREAK in this case !

Then nothing ... at least nothing that we know of. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I agree with you -- LE will not say anything unless they have something positive. And even then they might not say anything because I believe they want that air tight case !

Prayers for Kyron and his Family ...

Hope

There is an infectious enthusiasm about Kyron being found soon and it is good to be so positive about that. We all just want him found.

When I watched the last part of the Dateline video about Brooke Wilberger tonight, I thought of Kyron, believing LE has possibly found some evidence and now just need to pinpoint his remains.

I decided to post that clip of video on Kyron's thread here for two reasons:

** The type of forest where Brooke was found is so similar to the one spot they just searched off the dirt road in looking for Kyron, and

** In that clip it told how after all those years since Brooke had been murdered and disposed of in that forest - what, 3.5 or 4yrs, when they let the dogs loose in the area on their second day of searching with better directions from her killer, they soon found Brooke's remains.

With Kyron the time missing is much shorter so when LE gets close, the dogs will go right to him IMO. It is just a light at the end of the tunnel now IMO, only time I think, until he is found.

I'm just waiting for the day LE learns of a more specific location, and Kyron will be found at that point. xox

Thank you for posting that, Scandi. I hope someday Kyron's killer will feel enough compassion for his parents to tell the truth.

I also was thinking of a connection to the Wilberger case. I'm wondering if TH followed it? I believe Brooke's remains were discovered in the Fall of 2009 on a logging road. Isn't that about the same time frame when TH "reportedly" started shopping around for a hit man?

The landscaper told authorities that Terri Moulton Horman approached him with the murder-for-hire plot six to seven months before Kyron disappeared, The Oregonian has learned.
