Hi all........
I maybe way off here but JAC has filed three motions about the transcripts that have been requested and then we had the motion from the State to show cause and then the new one from Finnell (signed by Medina). Now my feeling and hopes is that all of these will be heard. Mason can respond about the one to show cause since his co-counsel stated that he was also confused. So CJPerry can hear all of these without Baez. mo

I am sure HHJP will not get into the Motion to Show Cause on the phone. That one will almost definately be on Tuesday with KC in the courtroom. Tomorrows just sounds like an approve/deny payment sort of thing.

Judge To Hear Money Issues In Anthony Case - Defense Wants Money For Mental Health Expert, Videoconferencing

These are the motions that will be heard:

Motion to approve Hourly Rate and or Costs For Video Conferencing

http://www.ninthcircuit.org/news/Hi... Rate and or Costs For Video Conferencing.pdf

Motion for Additional Costs Related to the Engagement of a Confidential Mental Health Expert to Assist in Exploring Mitigating Factors

I'm confused. Video conferencing what? Or who?

I'm confused, too. When I see wording such as we have subpeonaed experts and/or witnesses that may only appear by video conferencing for the March 2-3 and the March 23-25 hearings, it kind of leaves the door wide open.

I wonder if CM is as confused as I am, if not more so.

Oh dear, I am three hours behind EST.....:waitasec:

Here you go LG !

:fireworks: WAKE UP !

:coffee: +:sunshine:+:aktion:+:poke: and you're up !

Now that you're up,could you cover me while I sneak a peak during a meeting? An all day meeting.A meeting that starts at 8 and runs until 5

We even eat breakfast and lunch in the conference room : (

http://www.ninthcircuit.org/programs-services/courtroom23/
Courtroom 23 is technologically, to the teeth, tricked out.
I guess the defense is wanting funds for the experts and / or witnesses to dial up on their end?

Nice find!!!
and from that same site -----------
The video system includes six fix-mounted cameras. The system is directly connected, via fiber optic cable to all jail sites, located throughout the Circuit, and has Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) capability, which provides connection to any ISDN site in the World. The video system enables remote testimony.

ETA- but looking at the motion http://www.ninthcircuit.org/news/Hi... Rate and or Costs For Video Conferencing.pdf

Baez claims the court can't use this high tech feature, as the experts are required to log into the ISDN tandberg system.
I'm baffled the court can't allow a free program such as skype to teleconference with those who can't log into the special system.

It's widely available! And with a few minor tweaks it can be up and running! FREE

Oh and another thought..Couldn't the defense expert witnesses get their butts to one of the "world wide" ISDN sites closest to them?

Hmmm

UPDATE and O/T :innocent: Shuttle Discovery has launched :great: from Kennedy Space Center on it's Final Mission....It was a beautiful sight to behold...I love watching Shuttle launches..:D

I stood in my driveway with my binoculars and watched Discovery soar into space. I never, ever get tired to being able to see it live. I was so excited when we moved here and realized the shuttle would be visible from here. I didn't even need the binoculars to know what it was, but with them I could even see the external fuel tanks fall away. An awesome sight.

Oh no - gee I hope you don't eat something bad at breakfast or lunch and feel queasy and have to go out of the meeting a couple of times "just to get a breath of fresh air" for a half hour or so each time because no way do you want to go home and miss this very important meeting because you know how important it is and critical you be there and if you could just take a break from time to time you will be just fine, and be able to soldier on. I really hope that doesn't happen. :great:

:skip: :skip: :skip: :skip: :skip:

Cause if it did happen it would be such a shame, what with you being such a conscientious employee and all.....

Alright sleuthers...this should be fairly simple.

Which defense expert will be testifying on the 2nd and 3rd?
Where are they from?
Where is the closest "world wide ISDN site" for them?

Can't be that hard to figure out :)

Yes. Sounds like most television stations use this. I'll bet Jim L. could facilitate them all!

bbm All major labs and definately all Universities are already ISDN wired. I know this is true but have no link so MOO but it's true.

This is the only defense expert that it could be for the canine motion that the defense has. jmo
Dr. Scott Fairgrieve (Canada) (Contacted by Baez in 10/2009) (added to witness list 06/30/2010) researcher of skeletal biology and torture (According to Baez at 11/29/2010 Status hearing he is a dog smell expert)
http://www.laurentian.ca/Laurentian/Home/News/Scott+Fairgrieve+14jan09.htm?Laurentian_Lang=en-CA
State deposed 12/16/2010 Report has been given to the State Expert for Evidentiary Hearing
As per 12/01/2010 Defense e-mail: as mentioned he will testify at that hearing if we have one.
As per 12/15/2010 Defense filing: he will testify his specific subject area will be that involving cadaver dogs. In short Baez states “ Dr. Fairgrieve’s testimony is that cadaver dogs are a tool and nothing more, absent the finding of human remains in their searches, very little can be ascertained from such alerts.”
As per 01/11/2011 Defense filing: His deposition has already been taken by the prosecution.

Dr Fairgrieve resides in Sudbury Ontario.

A link to ISDN tandberg information http://www.tandberg.com/collateral/...SDN_to_IP_migration_for_videoconferencing.pdf

Judging from this CISCO pdf. Sudbury Ontario is into
leading-edge wired community since the year 2000.

He should have no issue finding a ISDN location to link into.http://newsroom.cisco.com/dlls/global/canada/customers/sudbury.pdf

OMG! A dog smell expert. That is hilarious :floorlaugh:

Will JB be coming back to Orlando before tomorrow... I'm thinking his "unique opportunity" didn't pan out so well if these experts won't even take the time out of their schedules to appear in court to testify to their opinions.

Only if he gets out of Chicago in time - the city is windy tonight and a storm is a brewin'..
The Red Eye might not make it out of town if he hasn't left by now ~

Not that any of us has been able to prove, but that was what he was planning to do? The request to have equipment brought in so that his experts can give their opinions through tele-conference tells me he has been able to finally get into contact with them and they are refusing to come to Orlando to testify?

They probably only agreed to do it this way so if things get "hairy", they can disconnect..........white noise..........blank screen..........da*m the luck and they tried so hard to comply.
