Except there are some personal issues that should remain personal. If it has to do with a family member, who has no connection to this case beyond being related to JB, then I believe we should let that matter stay personal. That person's name and condition does not need to be spilled all over the media.

I agree, personal means personal. If it were because of a personal matter then JP should have said that's why court is in recess until tomorrow.

I think I'm leaning with you. Everytime we almost think we've got it we hear something that we did'nt hear (LOL) such as gag order.

When IS was replaying this morning what I happened to miss, if you listen to JB it sounds like a good-bye speech. Were he goes on about how he is supposed to do the best for his client. Don't know where it is or when it was. I remember when I heard it replay I thought it sounded funny but also thought I was reading too much into it.

I don't think he quit , but I don't think he was fired either. I think they felt it was just the best move? who is they?

I agree. However, if he or the Judge would have just explained that much I'd feel much better about it. Instead all we get is vague information. Honestly, it's as if he wanted all this speculation. Anything to garner more media attention, muddy the waters and stall. Nope, I'm not buying what he's trying to peddle.

If it true it will come at a huge cost.

I thought the gag order was only in place for the location of the jury selection? As far as the media is concerned, they even stated today that JB and CM have had no problem talking to them this week.

ITA Unless HHJP is the type that believes that nobody is entitled to know what's going on, (which I don't believe he is BTW), he could have just said that there was a personal emergency that had to be attended to and that would have been that.

With that, HHJP KNEW the explosion this was going to cause and how it would just make it worse by him not saying anything. I don't believe HHJP is like that. I do believe this has something to do with the case. Why stir the pot iffen you don't have to? HHJP knew this not only would stir the pot but upset it all together - but there wasn't much he could do about it. That would also explain why he seemed "shaken" at the time. If he could have just said a personal emergency - he would have, but he couldn't say that if it wasn't true.

HHJP doesn't want these jurors out in the open. He knew this was going to be explosive - yet there was nothing he could do to fix it or stop it.

Nope - the more I'm thinking about this, the more I ain't buying JB's text of it being a "personal matter".

It's not something that would be broadcast by anyone, including the person reported, the SA, or the judge.

I'm just speculating. This is a puzzler.

Casey has a choice whether or not to continue without him, as he is the lead attorney. Thus Judge Perry asking CM if he talked to her..Guess she didn't want to.

You guys know what is really scary??? We fuss and complain ad nauseum about the DT schmoozing the media, but at least we had some CLUE what was going on then! We could read straight through the carp they dished out. Now, with this gag order in place, we won't have anything to work on unless something is filed with the court.

What would've we done these past 3 years if the DT hadn't have fought the SA's original motion for a gag order? We'd all be in the nuthouse by now.

I would certainly consider it a personal matter that I would not want to discuss until things got settled and I got my head together about what I wanted to say about the situation.
