I really think Condy's actions up until 6 weeks ago were all motivated by the fact that she still held out hope that this was all a lie and Caylee was still alive- they said so in 2009 at GA, LA and CA's depositions (even after the memorial/remains being found). I do not fault her for holding on to that sliver of hope even if it meant she seemed evil to other people in the case.
What is crucial is that she now knows the truth and she is doing what is right. It it excruciatingly painful to watch her go through this knowing this is the first time she is reliving this nightmare with the knowledge that Caylee is really gone and her daughter had something to do with it.

I so agree with you here!! I do think that the revelations to CA and GA 6 weeks ago, allowed them to realize their support for their daughter was groundless, and that indeed ICA was exactly what SA has been saying all along..

Watching CA testify today was heartbreaking..and the full impact of their claims, and spins for the past 2 and half years are coming back to haunt them!!..This pain they are experiencing now is overwhelming NOW..since they havent allowed themselves to accept the "Reality" of what happened to their precious Caylee ...I truly hope both CA and GA can gain some strength in knowing the whole truth and nothing but the truth now!! We can all extend them some strength thru our prayers for them both..I have a whole lineup of candles ablaze for them both!!

It bothered me to hear the way Cindy was testifying about
Amy directing her to Tony's place. She was implying there was something nefarious about Amy knowing exactly where to go. My goodness,
Amy had just been there to drop off ICA.

Don't understand why she continues to make those remarks about Amy.
Is it because Amy is a victim of ICA and That doesn't sit well with Cindy?

Well didnt she think KC was somewhere else?
I see nothing nefarious at all i think she was shocked to know she was at TL's place and why would Amy know when she was supposed to be somewhere else,
how could this woman put 2&2 together... No way!!! JMO

No, that was Kristina Chester. (I believe that is her last name)

Interesting during the call, Kristina sounds more alarmed that Caylee is missing than ICA does. She tries to assure ICA that no one will get away with taking Caylee and ICA is not one bit interested in Kristina's sympathy. I know, among other things in this call, the jury will zero in on this attitude of ICA's to a person wanting to help find her daughter.
One more step to GUILTY.

Ziggy, I was just thinking about that. How do you hear that--the emotional crescendo that was this morning's testimony--and then have to go sit with 16 other people eating lunch as if nothing happened? How? Even if none of them says word one about testimony, I think there would have to be half-spoken and unspoken cues flashing like lightning between and among these jurors right now.

You know what I'm thinking?

How lovely ICA goes back to sit in her cell have a lonely lunch and mull over the 911/Jail calls :)

I can just picture her sitting there working herself up into a rage, and she can't do a damn thing to stop the juggernaut rolling, rolling, rolling.

Someone just reminded me Jose will want to talk to her about the ladder on the pool. Accuse her of leaving it up.

Jury can hear CA sobs, feel the emotion and hear things as they see, watch and read..........
much better than us on TV.........imagine being there LIVE.........WOW!

i'm still sobbing, feel weak, and can't think straight. I'm a person who wanted LWOP for CASEY BUT AFTER ALL THIS AND AFTER THE JAILHOUSE CALL I VOTE DP------PURE SOCIOPATH!!!!!!!!!

I can almost bet actual money that jb will attack CA.....he has that calendar up ---- He will go for blood and his moment....he is disgusting.....worse words but I'm being good....:maddening::banghead:

I think you are exactly right! No WAY is he not gonna question her, and I think he'll go hard. Being subtle is not his forte...he's about as subtle as a pig squealing for his supper. This is *his* moment.

 ITA.

Cindy is not different. It was always about making sure she looked good. LDB has the questions so that Cindy can look good. Cindy can even add in commentary about stuff. None of the commentary has been truth...okay some of it but most of it makes her sound so calm and rational...

how about all the "I let Casey be a grown woman and live her own life." Cindy was a big BIG part in letting Casey, THIS Casey we can all hear now for what she is take care of Caylee Marie.

I cried for Cindy the first day...because she is good. But she saving her own butt. Those of you who are more tender hearted than I, you are better than I and I offer that it is YOU who are the good people.

Not Cindy Anthony. When Tim Miller and the Gunds say what Cindy did and her actions these three years are Okay with them...then maybe I will think different, but I will still think what Cindy did for these last three years was to stop justice and the truth about what happened to Caylee go forward. And that it was close to evil. :snooty:

:blowkiss: WS

I agree - she's quite cunning, but IMHO she's not anywhere near as smart as she thinks she is. She's lead a very small life, all her BS is ripped from TV plots - no one with 15 minutes of adulthood under their belt would believe her carp - and it appears that most did not as she cycled through "friends" at about a 4 to 6 month interval....
Speaking from experience, nobody probably believed her. I know in my family we didn't believe our lovely little sociopath. Most times you just go with it to keep the calm. It is beyond words living with a person like this not to mention that they are family and you love them.

I do believe we could all use one of these right now. There's also a non-alcoholic one for them what don't tipple.

And we ALL need a giant :grouphug:. No matter what one's opinion has been of Cindy, today has clearly been wrenching for her. An experience I would not wish upon anyone. It has been grueling to watch her slowly, slowly fold into herself and disappear behind that witness stand while her own words and her daughter's were broadcast... Well, I can't articulate my thoughts fully. But my view of this woman has shifted significantly.

And I want to thank each of our posters for being so respectful today. Let's keep up the good behavior this afternoon & during cross examination, even if we have to sit on our hands sometimes. You are all reminding me of why I love WS above all other sites.

Anyway, here's this.

If Jose is smart (yes, I know), he would pass on questioning Cindy. There is very little to be gained. If he comes out swinging, he alienates the jury more, if he treats her with kid gloves, any points he might make, will be colored with sympathy for Cindy having to testify against her daughter.

Thank you so much tlcox!

Oooh! I am SO glad to hear that. IMO, a lady like that, who may not understand forensics, etc., she is going to go off her impressions and if her impression of casey is bad, yipeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder what ol' JB is going to try to impeach her with. She has made so many kooky statements in the past. I'm sure though, that the state can just get her to explain on redirect that CA was in deep, angry, frightened denial.

I guess that 911 tape made a powerful impact in open court with poor CA seated there, reliving it all. Great to hear! casey's words may be strong enough that the jury won't need motive.

I think it will be okay too. CA has already said that she looked for Zanny until6 weeks ago. Future tapes of the family being super cooperative with the CEO will hurt anything he pulls. It's not optimal that she said the things she said, but after the breakdown I think it will look bad to the jury if JB doesn't handle her very carefully.

KC was under the delusion that people believed her lies and therefore the police eventually would too. oops. Cindy and George did condition her to believe she could get away with anything. oops. Just thankful that now, both CA and GA are coming to understand their daughter is irreparably damaged and they must save themselves. RIP little Caylee. Poor little child.

Perfect post!

Was just going back through the tweets from during the 911 calls and Amanda from WESH said that CA was in the bathroom during the recess and everyone in the hallway could hear her sobbing.

Pray they have some very strong meds for her to take when she gets home today. That woman desperately needs and deserves a long peaceful nap and she'll never get to it on her own.

I have always said CAs denial was what was driving the abhorrent behavior we've been seeing these past 3 years - now the last facade of it is crumbling in public. She now knows that everything she believed really was a lie and has had to actively admit it to herself and the world - and bearing witness to this is somehow very humbling.

May He forgive me for being human and heaping judgement on this woman.

Man, the defense better be careful on cross. After all of that, if Baez is a bully with Cindy, I think she might just go off on him, or turn and go off on Casey. And not in a totally angry way, but in an emotionally angry way that will make the jury hate Casey and the DT even more. The DT has to be panicking right now at exactly how they are going cross examine Cindy.

Well, CM, how are you liking these apples? How do they taste about now? I bet all the fun has been sucked out of them by your own client and they taste like ash. Quivering in your shoes, Baez? I hope none of them are able to eat lunch after that. But I bet Casey will, and I bet she'll complain about the jail food, just like in that jailhouse letter.

I am a firm believer in "What goes around Comes around".

I think JB has to handle CA wih kid gloves or he will seal KC's coffin! jmo
Not that it isnt sealed already...

Im surprised they have not halted this already. Say enough already, here is what happend and cop a plea.

I don't think Casey could ever take responsibility for anything, and will fight this to the end. JMO, but I really believe she is enjoying the pain her mom feels. I think she enjoys it because it is payback for the jealousy she felt towards Caylee. It almost seems she wants to crack a grin when her mother breaks down.
I noticed that too ICA is evil incarnate

What're the odds all of this will sway KC into testifying? IMO if she remains mum and allows the evidence, tapes, texts to speak for her then she's toast. Could she really take the stand and try to convince everyone of her version of truth? Will all this only serve to strengthen her notion that she's the victim here?

Someone just reminded me Jose will want to talk to her about the ladder on the pool. Accuse her of leaving it up.

I think Baez will bring it up and he will try to put words in her mouth and try to trip her up so there is doubt, she may be recalling that she did put the ladder back.when infact she did not based on the June 17th incident when she found the ladder up and called George about it..
