Oh may I state this for the record, I am not a representative of Ava Maria School of Law or any agency affiliated with them, nor did I post on their behave.
If you (DF Team or someone reading here for them) would have read my post meticulously you would have seen I was making an observation of the New upcoming Lawyers that were watching the trial in the cafeteria.
I merely stated (in so many words) that they were enjoying the trail.
But thanks for letting me know you read here and caring so much about my little insignificant post

OMG....don't tell me you were threatened by the DT??????????? I seriously think they should get a job. I think their next jobs should be monitoring the internet for child molestors and such. They seem to thoroughly enjoy that type of work. And, at least then they would be doing some good in this world.

I agree with you Ssejors, and with everyone who answered this original query and would like to add this: We all heard how incessant and insistent ICA was in her lying when listening to the tape today. Even the Detectives were truly baffled. Can you imagine Cindy living with that 24/7/365 for years and years and years. ICA is not dumb (she's no rocket surgeon, but she's cunning) - she literally brainwashed her family. And when you consider all the other drama going onn in that household with money and GA etc., etc., at some point, it had to have been easier to accept her lies as truth. Classic Patty Hearst/Stockholm syndrome. ICA held her family captive and Caylee was the lynch pin. Once that was gone, she had nothing.

And that lynch pin was starting to talk. CA was starting to push back about the checks and the CC's and the lies and the stealing. ICA was running out of time. TL was going to slip out of her hands. and Caylee was getting older and needed more attention, time, money and was physically getting bigger and bigger. Cant Hide a 3 year old as well as you can hide a baby sleeping in a car seat. You can put a sleeping baby in a car seat and put her in the bedroom when you are making out with boys. You cant hide a toddler who doesnt want to have naps anymore. You cant keep a toddler from blurting out stories about sleeping in a trunk. You cant keep a toddler from telling Cece that she doesnt like mommy when she makes me...(lord knows what)



I remember when my kids were just babies. (IM a gamer nerd. please dont laugh) But I would put my son in his swing or his little rocking chair and put him beside my computer and I would play my game for a few hours while slept, and you wouldnt even know he was there snoozing. Now he is 3 and my daughter is 19 months. I'm lucky if they go to bed by 9 pm and I get 1 hour to play at all! And there is NO WAY I could sit at my computer and play if they are awake. MOMMY MOMMY MOMMY!.. Mouse stealing keyboard smashing lil goobers! Even as babies I had time for my self. Now, as toddlers, i am destined to wait till they go off to school before i can have my own life back.

And that.. is where Caylee became a problem.

add to that a grandmother who ICA feels took her right to be a mother away. Sociopath + vengeance + hatred + inconvenience = ICA

Whenever he says something dumb it reminds me of that one guy who was defending himself and faked a heart attack during the trial! The judge wasn't having it. LOL I keep waiting for JB to realize he's got nothing, and is soooo out of his league, that he tries to pull something equally as stupid. LOL

I'm waiting for the moment, & I know it's comming, when Baez demands to know if Detectives EVER investigated whether the answers to this case layed in the world of Faye Resnick & this was all a rush to judgement.

The article I read would not help the defense...it would be reaching, like everything else...it just made me think of this case...
It seems as though the people with the actual brain damage could not help themselves from lying...

Ha! Just before I saw this, I edited that post to say: "ETA: I do NOT at ALL believe that she has Korsakoff Syndrome, or is a victim of her own confabulation. But he is grasping at everything else. Korsakoff is weird and technical enough that he might get someone to believe that more than the invisible nanny theory."

I don't think that it would help her at all either, lol. Not from what I know of confabulation.

<respectfully snipped> I've liked Yuri's devotion to Caylee and I have the feeling that he is someone that my DH and I would like to have as a neighbor. He just seems like a nice hard working man. Why then was he yawning during listening to the taped interview at Universal? Was that sort of a ho-hum we do this every day type of message he was attempting to convey to the jury when the questions became rough and strongly worded? I noticed that his yawns sort of were in sync with when the questioning got a bit more confrontational and the voices became a bit louder. Still, it seemed inappropriate to me.

IMO, he may have just been genuinely sleepy.

The defense could not use a mental defense for KC because of her elaborate lies and hiding all the evidence etc. If you were crazy you would not know to do this. Her lies and leading people astray show that she knew wrong from right. In fact, I don't know what the heck kind of defense Jose is trying to put on???

this may have been mentioned and there is NO way i can keep up with you guys but about the brain/ frontal lobe thing - i always personally thought casey's front part of her head was oddly shaped. not a rude remark but it's something i always wondered. not sure if size or shape has anything to do with that but again something i thought. i don't want to go into detail on how it looks to me cause it seems so rude and i love voicing my silly opinions here and wish to continue to do so. but it could just be her head shape cause i feel like sometimes i see it in some pics of caylee too so maybe just normal cause everyone is different.

I respectfully disagree. To me she's nothing special as far as psychopaths or remorseless murderers go. She a liar and not a very good one. Unfortunately for her, she became too confident in her abilities after being able to easily fool her parents for years. Seems she wasn't to manipulate anyone long term except her parents.

What I loved more was Casey explaining to people on the "i want tony's number" phone call, how the police were SUPPOSED to conduct an investigation.
Every crazy person with something to hide I've ever heard of has had a need to instruct seasoned law enforcement people on how to do a proper missing person's search...DATABASES... :floorlaugh: use her proper name...They're not LISTENING TO MEEEEEE :giggle:

Close - after the guilty phase, which we are now in, and she is found guilty - comes the penalty phase when the jury hears aggravating/mitigating factors, hears witnesses and then decides on a sentence.

The judge has the authority to change or add to that sentence.

It is making me crazy that the defense is trying to paint LE as wrong for initially not being even more suspicious of KC's story and running the investigation differently. Jose said in opening that Caylee drowned and it was an accident. So why is trying to make LE look wrong?

Wrong for not guessing there could have been an accident? KC was asked that and denied it. Jose is doing a very poor job and I can't wait to see what he presents when it is his turn.

I would like to know when KC told Jose about this accident. Why did he not go to the state attorneys when he found out and avoid this trial? Why did KC sit in jail for three years if it was accident? Makes no sense.

What Jose should be doing now is pointing out behaviors, etc. of KC that would support the accident theory. Of course IMO there isn't anything but this attacking of each witness is not supporting the accident theory either. Actually would be better if he asked no questions.

Baez said IN what is now know as the start and end of his career IMO. i.e the opening statement that OCPD didnt investigate anything but Casey murdering Caylee.

I dont remember word for word but he was saying they never looked to see if anything other than murder such as an accident in the family pool. So now he is going to question the things done and not done to farther the doubt implant he gave the jury in OP.

As far as I can figure, all the DT must be hoping for is a LWOP sentence for ICA. Defense is betting on the jurors feeling it'd be wrong to give her the DP when she clearly is unexplainably cold and heartless, and just keeps lying. Guess she can't find her "neutral" place in a world against her for what happened to Caylee. ICA is not all there, just like Zanny, but she needs to be kept in prison for the rest of her life or she'll create more killer nannies in the future.

I think it takes a little extra too keep all those lies in line. Her brain works just fine, imo.
