It continues to amaze me no end how Baez keeps pushing the envelope with legal procedures and doesn't think that rules apply to him. HHJP has been more than patient and placating with regard to Casey's DT, but it's getting to be ridiculous. Baez also needs to develop some professionalism and a thicker skin if he intends to remain in the legal field. Colleagues will not always agree with him, and snapping back at them is unprofessional. I think JB believed that the Judge would admonish JA. jmo

I'll tell ya' the defense reviewed these tapes repeatedly and extensively to determine what theory they could use and how her comments and her family's comments would fit.

They knew well in advance that these tapes would be shown. They fought hard against their admission. They are realizing their theory is not going well and they are grasping at straws.


In other news, I couldn't watch much today but I have HLN recorded and it is very interesting to watch casey watching herself. She likes to watch herself. She likes how she handled herself and joked. It's funny to watch her try to keep her face in conformity with her new, bogus theories. It;s fascinating, because she doesn't like to back down from her lies and likes to reinforce them but now she realizes that she can't show agreement with her oh so detailed lies and she has to catch herself in court to prevent her face from nodding or showing agreement.

Also, her statements in those videos about love for her family, appreciation, etc., she doesn't know how to react to those because they belie her new allegations that her brother and father are molesters.

Let me add that although I think casey is on the sociopathic scale, I do think she may have felt some measure of fondness for her parents and brother and even, possibly, some, mild regret over their suffering (although her own suffering, being jailed on a whim, is always much more important). But now she can't show any of that while listening to the tapes.

However, I do believe though, that her fond feelings towards her family, are mostly associated (at least as shown in the jail tapes) with being home, being free, being the princess and being enabled and coddled, rather than connected to a true love or deep bond with family like most people have. In any event, she has to compose herself to not betray any emotional agreement with her statements and emotions at the time of the jail visits. Fascinating!!!

Thank you, I love your posts! I have to admit that I was a little giddy when I heard about JB's last ditch effort (the grief specialist) because now I know he knows just how bad it's looking for his client.

Oh dang, you had to go there and remind me. We were dedicated Dallas watchers. Everyone knew where to find us on Friday nights. I was so pizzed at that scenario. But like a train wreak, we had to watch to see how they would bail their butts out of it. Didn't work for me.

That could be looked upon as either guilty or innocent I think. In fact, I think if you are innocent, you are more likely to want to commit suicide. I think the guilty want to prove their innocence. Looking at KC's guilt, I doubt but wonder if she ever contemplated suicide.

The jury I believe is becoming very hostile to the Defense. If the Defense keeps trying to throw the family members under the bus they will have succeeded in losing big time. I'm hoping that the Judge grants what they want. They are going to hang themselves as they have shown to do over and over again.

No mercy, this Jury won't give it. During jury selection I thought some would render a verdict based on mercy but not any more. This jury I tell you is so upset with ICA and the DT it isn't funny. Waste of Time, Huge Waste is what they are thinking alright.

If you are still here, how did the defense get George's medical records? I'm driving myself nuts over here, if he did not sign an authorization, he doesn't have a jail psych record, is not in a psych facility, how did they get them?

IMO "ugly coping"... "PTSD"... and "the stages of grieving" are three very different concepts. When the defense is not successful bringing one in they grasp another one. The "grasping at straws" defense...

I honestly think that the Court System (meaning a group of higher ups) asked him to be on the case. He didn't want to be. This is just my opinion.

Too funny! On HLN Judge Alex was talking to Vinnie and he said after watching all the torture that ICA was putting her mother through he was ready to confess himself to put CA out of her agony.
