I'm sorry all but I'm new here . . . I don't understand the jocularity in a case concerning a murdered 2y/o. Particularly humor equating pizza with the odor of this young child's decomposing body.
Perhaps I need a different venue to follow the trial ?

You're never going to find any venue full of people more concerned with justice for victims and very aware of the horror of crime.These folks have been following this case for years I don't think a moment of sarcastic commentary about absurd claims equates with jocularity about a murdered child.

I'm confused about something & if anyone can link me to the info or just fill me in I would greatly apreciate it. It concerns the smell -
one of the accused girlfriends testified that she was in the back of the sunbird with others around the 24th(?) & didn't smell anything, but I saw posts yesterday that said she was actually in the car before Caylee was murdered.
Which is it ?

I believe it was (MY INFO HERE WAS INCORRECT AND CORRECTED DOWN THREAD IT WAS MARIA KISSH WHO TESTIFIED TO THE DATES)Troy Brown's girlfriend Melissa England who made statements about riding in Casey's car (WSers correct me if I am wrong). If I recall correctly, another witness who testified to the same event corrected the date to earlier in the month, before Caylee went missing.

In answer to the question you posted later in this thread regarding jocularity - the sidebar thread is where we come to blow off steam, and that can sometimes take on the form of humor, even gallows humor if you will. Some of the silly talk about pizza and such arose and has since become a meme, really, because of some of the more ridiculous assertions made in this case, especially early on, i.e., the pizza in the trunk causing the decomp smell; Casey whining on the taped jail visit about how unhappy she was because she wasn't home with the family eating chili (with no mention of being unhappy about her missing child). Those bits morphed into memes or cliches as a way for us to process and deal with the metric tons of absurdity and incredulity that came roaring down the mountain at us in the beginning and that continue to vex us three years later. I completely understand how disconcerting this can be for you, happening upon it for the first time. Our intent is not offend. We simply cannot believe they were offered in defense of the taking Caylee's life.

Maria Tissh testified it was after the 16th but AL later testified that event happened on June 4th as they had gone to a birthday party for a friend named Troy Brown.
