ja should forget this. it proves nothing and will confuse the jury.
whats ja trying to prove, that caylee is really dead. jury allready knows that.

Evidence to bolster previous evidence that supports Caylee's decomping body was indeed in the trunk of ICA's car.

Personally, I got that message loud and clear already. But maybe the state simply wants to make sure that has been pounded into the juror brains. :waitasec:

I am tired of the defense wanting EVERYONE else to do their work for them.

Oh pumpernickel, just show the jury the photos in black and white, and let it be over.

This sounds like a typical kidergarten dispute over a peanut butter sandwich...

Just tuning in - caught the very last of JA saying he wasn't aware the photographs weren't acceptable until just now. Listening to DS talking, all I can say is whaaaaaaaatttttttttt?

JA arguing that the Sims cannot argue that they have not seen these photos

If the FBI couldnt release them to the defence, they should not be allowed to realese to the the entire world.

Throw it out Judge, don't allow it the FBI is playing fast and lose.

It seems like with these kinds of images, where they're looking at something so subtle, it might look different in black and white vs. color.

(Ducking).

woo hoo! JA says this experiment was conducted to answer Baez' frye hearing question: could anything else cause banding on a hair!!!!

Why do they need to show the jury this pp? Didn't he describe the experiments? This is way too much info!

moo

I agree Pink. If the witness was more compelling, it might be worth the risk of overload. I think this is more like the FBI chemist's dry chloroform testimony. I understand that the state felt they needed a "chemist" and Baez had tried to discredit Vass for not being a chemist, but the FBI chemist was terrible and his "small amounts of chloroform" keeps being used out of context in soundbites on the HLN shows as a point by the defense. Hopefully, the jury understood that Vass's testimony about air samples was different than the weak FBI witness's testimony about dry samples (and that "none" would be the expected result by the chemist), but we don't know what the jury took away from what Baez presented as vastly inconsistent results between the research scientist and the FBI chemist. I fear that the SA lost some points with the FBI chemist.

In this case, the female hair band expert's testimony was sufficient given the nature of the hair band study being debated now. Baez will simply exploit the investigator's lack of knowledge about the environment, the fact that he can't positively identify the hair as belonging to the victim... Again, if this FBI Investigator was very strong and riveting, it might be worth hammering home the hair banding. He is not, imo.

JMO....The state doesn't need this study nor this witness...
