I've kept a record of the motions for Mis-trial by the defense, and since they asked for one AGAIN today - here's a recap of the previous ones:

Mistrial motions denied:

#1 – 5/27/11: Attempted character assassination of defendant…

#2 – 6/2/11: Mis-statement of facts…” request a mistrial because of the statements heard during the video especially about the defendants council...including that her council may withhold evidence and destroy evidence. The jury heard and it ruins credibility...other than filing motions and renewing objections that is all we can do. There are future videos that have further slanders against the defnese's council...other legal and um also misstakments of law and fact surrounding the legal representation of Miss Anthony and the visitors in these tapes. I understand part of what the State of FL is doing how ever they should be relvant they should not be prejudicial where you have statements that may confused the jury as to what the law may be and issues related to the defendants council. On those grounds we ask for a mistrial the motion as it relates to these tapes it went exclusively to the Anthony's being agents of the state. He did not state which parts are prohibitive, he did not file in a timely fashion.” Per Baez. Didn’t like Lee’s comments about Baez re jailhouse video of 7/25/08 w/KC.

#3 – 6/14/11: Video of animation with duct tape, Heart Sticker – speculation, and issue of remorse regarding getting tattoo.

We can agree to disagree Chilly. These are from part of the time she testified about...I am not going to argue back and forth all night. I am sure that there are pics somewhere...but arguing that CA is an arbiter of the truth is like arguing the earth is flat. IMO

I'm not meaning to argue, I just want to understand the truth. You said there are pictures of Cindy proving that her hair was not long and brown at the time she said it was, which is prior to 2002. And then you posted recent pictures as the proof.

What if Cindy had not said her hair had ever been long and brown and on cross Baez pulled out a photo of a long-haired brunette Cindy. What would THAT have done for her credibility?

Put it this way, after the defense is done with their case in chief, the jury will be asking themselves... WTH was THAT??? The defense is treating the jurors like they are idiots if they try and make a mockery out of Caylee's death. Which is exactly what it looks like from their opening statements. They will come away believing that Casey is still lying about what took place and is willing to make vile accusations against innocent people in order to distance herself from the crime... which would only register as someone trying to cover a homicide... not an accident.

The State will make sure that the jury understands the evidence presented to them... how it all adds up. The State brought forth the undisputable evidence in this case... and it is up to the jury to make the decision.

Casey is her own worst enemy. Her defense is going to make her out to be an even bigger monster by going after all these innocent people. Blaming them for Caylee's face being wrapped in duct tape and blaming them for Caylee being in the trunk of the car and blaming them for Caylee being eaten by animals.

Then the State will come back with their rebuttal and GAME OVER. I love that they are going to allow the defense to make the jury hate Casey even more than they would already hate her now. Trust me... there is no way the defense can make Casey out to be a sympathetic character... not when she is accusing people of these vile acts when the jury is going to know that it was impossible... since the State made it very clear that Caylee's remains could not have been moved around like they are suggesting Roy Kronk did.

i think the prosecution has blown it big time.
they didn't tie anything together for the jury.
seems like they assumed the jury knows as much as we do.
also, they had no heart at all. just cold disorganized facts.
everytime they had a chance to put a nail in kc's coffin, they blew it.
like today when baez asked if people got tatoo's as a memorial, mr. george
could have followed up with, how do you have a memorial tat for someone
your bringing in sat. for a visit?
looks like the sa is just droping a ton of great evidence in the jurys lap and
saying you firgure it out, were tired an want to rest.

I couldn't (respectfully) disagree more. The trial is nowhere near over and this is the time when the State is going to shine. For every witness and theory the defense brings up, the State will poke holes throughout. Up until this point all they could do was state the facts and provide the jury with a clear consise timeline which, IMO, I think they did brilliantly!

The State will now let the defense dig ICA's grave (literally.) I know they will help the jury see just how unbelievable the defense's version of what happened is and JA and LDB are going to get Caylee the justice she deserves.

I have nothing but faith in the SAO and I believe they have been doing a phenomenal job!

Evening All.....

My favorite part of today’s court session…

When CA mouthed “I love you" to ICA….

WHY???

The jury saw this and very possible had the thought,

she testifies to save her daughter from the DP. (when she makes Statements that help the DT)

Or

She loves her and still Testified that way. (When she makes statements that help the SA)

Either way it is a Win- Win for Caylee….:rocker:

I thought the jury was out when she did that.
That's what people were saying in the trial thread anyway.

I have no clue.

I don't see it as a big deal myself.

I have to very respectfully disagree. Yes, a lot of the testimony to this point has been cold, maybe disorganized and (some say) boring forensics and such. However, it has to be done.

Although the State has rested it's case, it is in NO WAY done. They will listen to whatever *advertiser censored*-n-bull story the Defense has concocted and will be at the ready to discredit them at every single turn. Further, they will walk through each and every door the Defense opens by accident or ineptness - and there will be plenty, IMO. And then... after they've accomplished this, they will have a two hour closing statement where all the nails will be neatly lined up and they will systematically hammer them into ICA's coffin. This is where you'll find the heart and passion of the case some seem to think the Prosecutions is lacking. It's there. I have no doubt. They're just waiting for the appropriate time to tie it all together and passionately and compassionately present it to the jury. They will tell the story of Caylee Anthony and just exactly how she died.

:popcorn::star1::gavel::star2::justice:

I think the state has done a good job presenting their case. While I am not expectiing the jury will go for the death penalty, I fully expect the verdict to be guilty/LWOP.

They actually tried to call for a mistrial on the video animation on Saturday, June 11th, 2011. The Judge put it on the back burner...today he outright Denied the Motion/Motions that are cited along with the video.

I agree, although some of the forensics and other evidence baffled and bored me as I was out of my depth - it really proved THROUGH CROSS EXAMINATION that these guys were experts in their fields. Just remember how many experts there were to testify - Even if you disregard the hair banding and Dr Voss testimony there is soooo much other evidence there.

Im still waiting with baited breath for the defense as I think they have shot themselves in the foot too by calling in a grief specialist. If Casey was mourning when she had the tattoo done then she was mourning all through the 31 days and not when it suited her...if you get my drift? If she had 'put out of her mind' that her daughter had died then exactly what did the tattoo mean? Hope I make sense?

Oh, Were they....

:nevermind:

I don't think the duck tape belonged at the A's home. I think ICA brought it with her to the home the day she backed in the garage, on the 18th or 19th when she borrowed the shovel. I think she got the garbage bag, put the body in it and then the white laundry bag, because it had handles and made it easier to carry. I think she forgot the tape, left it in the garage. After the gas can incident, GA finds it and uses it on the can. Then it is used again for hanging posters at the tent. They never dreamed it was used on Caylee. That tape is used by contractors more than by home owners. I got that from Henkel co. I am wondering if ICA got the tape from a home that was being fixed up or under construction in the area. We never did find out where she went when she was supposed to be going to a job she never had.

I called Henkel up in Ohio, after the body was found. I asked them about the tape and where it was sold, The response is here on the duct tape thread somewhere. The mail was forwarded to LE. They emailed me back that the tape was a limited edition and only sold for one year, and that was 2005. They only shipped to Home Depot and True Hardware IIRC.

I also believe that only a few states got that tape, and FL was one of them.

I think the A'S have a moral obligation to CAYLEE and I personally believe they should have just had CASEY plea guilty and try to move on with their lives. They would not be going through all this grief and trying to keep her off DR,she probably would have got LWOP.They still get to visit her and help her and when all is said and done, they can sit down and remember a beautiful little girl-who BTW was murdered and did NOT have to die!

ICA is an adult- they couldn't make her plea guilty...

Henstly I don't even know WHAT to think about CA. I can't figure her motivation out at all.

Very simple. Caylee is gone and can not be brought back. Casey is alive. CA has memories of Casey as a cute baby , toddler, first steps, first words etc. CA will not do anything that brings Casey closer to death. Frankly, normal behavior for any normal mother.

I always thought since the only place that duct tape was found at the home was on George's gas can I figured it was pilfered from one of his job sites. That was special duct tape and probably a little more expensive then normal duct tape which would have done just fine on that gas can.
