Casey Anthony: Station renews efforts to get jail video of Casey Anthony's reaction unsealed

An Orlando television station has renewed the effort to obtain a jail videotape of Casey Anthony reacting to news that her daughter Caylee's remains were located.

WKMG-Channel 6 filed its motions last week, asking that the court unseal the videotape from Dec. 11 2008, which was ordered sealed in June 2009.

At that time, Judge Stan Strickland ordered the videotape sealed and stated the tape must not be released and viewed by the media or general public "until further order of this court."

Former Casey Judge: Verdict 'Throws Me For A Loop'

---VIDEO with JudgeS @ link--

The former Casey Anthony trial judge says while the verdict surprised him, it didn't surprise him that the defense tried to suggest George Anthony played a role in covering up an accident.

"Every time I think about (the verdict), it throws me for a loop," Judge Stan Strickland told WESH 2 News.

"Circumstantial evidence is still evidence. Seldom are cameras running when someone kills a child or a child is abused," he said.

A 43-year-old man has been getting backlash for the infamous Casey Anthony
“[They were] making comments about the verdict; who am I to take a child’s life,” Anthony said. “And then I’m sitting back like, excuse me? I’m not the Casey Anthony you think.”

Public backlash may keep Casey Anthony from cashing in on her fame

"I think she's too toxic. I don't think book publishers, production companies, or anybody is going to touch her right now," said Selig.

Selig has experience representing unpopular clients, including recently convicted former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and Casey Anthony's own attorney Jose Baez.Selig believes the public's stubborn belief that Anthony murdered her child -- notwithstanding the jury verdict -- puts her beyond the pale."I think if she were to accept any money whatsoever, it could really backfire. If she had any hope of redeeming herself, forget it," said Selig.

Caylee's Law Updates:

UTAH:
Rep. Johnny Anderson, R-Taylorsville, is trying to get a bill into play that is like the "Caylee's Law" legislation being debated in Florida.

Following the verdict declaring Casey Anthony not guilty of her daughter Caylee's murder, Anderson said received 150 emails from constituents about getting this bill into play. He has now opened up a bill file and is in the beginning stages

And...more on calls for a ICA Boycott:

Fairall and a few friends started a Facebook group . It's the one with Casey's picture that has the "no sign" over it. Members are vowing to boycott anyone or any entity wanting to make a profit from the Casey and Caylee case.

"Within minutes, thousands of people from all over the United States are emailing sending letters and doing phone calls"
Taking the issue to another level, Fairall is also creating a website called BoycottForJustice.com . The site, which is still under construction, will be a resource to get information and direction on how to prevent similar victims from being exploited.

Exclusive: Casey Anthony Jury Foreman Says Doubt of George Anthony's Testimony Swayed Verdict

“He had a very selective memory for me, and that in itself was something I always kept in the back of my mind,”
He also explained that there was a lot of gray area for him and the other jurors surrounding the date Caylee disappeared and the date her body was found. They also did not have enough information regarding the theory of the decomposition and the smell in the car.

He also noted that the absence of an official cause of death raised a lot of doubt among the jurors.

Why 'Caylee's Law' Is A Bad Idea

"Within minutes of the Casey Anthony verdict, much of America devolved into the mass media equivalent of a mob bearing torches and pitchforks. Twitter lit up with calls for vigilante justice, and proposals that we revoke the Fifth Amendment's protection against double jeopardy (or at least that we revoke it for Casey Anthony). Nancy Grace nearly spit fire, proclaiming, "The devil is dancing tonight." Conservative syndicated columnist Ben Shapiro wants to change the jury system entirely".
