On Monday, Casey Anthonys
civil attorney, Charles Greene, filed a motion to strike a notice of deposition for her in the defamation case filed against her by Zenaida Gonzalez. The deposition is currently scheduled for October 8, but Greene argued that announcing the time or place of the event would endanger his clients safety.
Greene also questioned why Gonzalezs attorneys served Anthony with an unnecessary deposition subpoena and announced that service to the media, and then did it again with another subpoena after the court had already ordered the deposition.
He accused the plaintiffs attorneys of using the judicial system as a platform for publicity stunts and called their actions nothing less than transparent harassment.
