A decision on whether or not Casey Anthony will have to serve probation won't come until late Thursday or even Friday, a court spokeswoman said Wednesday afternoon.

Geraldo Rivera, host of Fox News's Geraldo at Large, has come under fire from the public and other members of the press as a result of his association with Jose Baez, Anthony's lead counsel in the case that outraged the nation.

What will come of the controversy is unknown. However, there have been calls for Fox News to fire Rivera as a result of the controversy and some experts believe that Rivera's continued support for the alleged baby killer and her high profile attorney may result in the end of his career.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A decision could be made Thursday on whether Casey Anthony will have to return to Orange County.

Officials at the Orange County Courthouse said Judge Belvin Perry may announce his decision sometime Thursday afternoon.

Attorney Jose Baez confirms to News 13 that he will appeal the ruling. Baez will have to request a stay, however, to keep Anthony from having to serve out her probation.

In response to Perry's ruling, George and Cindy Anthony's attorney, Mark Lippman, released a statement on their behalf.

Lippman said there has been speculation as to whether Casey Anthony will return to her parents' house on Suburban Drive for her probation, which has led to an increase in spectator traffic outside the home.

The Anthonys said their daughter will not be returning to the house, no arrangements have been coordinated to have her return and the probation office hasn't contacted Lippman or the Anthonys regarding verification of home address for the probation.

It seemed like old times last night on HLN as the channel turned back to Casey Anthony. HLN hosts and commentators speculated about what Anthony will do next when she returns to Orange County to serve a year of supervised probation.

Will there be an appeal of Perry’s ruling?

Judge Larry Seidlin, who gained fame in the Anna Nicole Smith case, predicted that Anthony will serve probation and that appellate judges won’t touch Perry’s ruling. “Perry made it bullet-proof,” Seidlin said.

But Bill Sheaffer, the WFTV-Channel 9 legal analyst who was a Grace guest, predicted that Anthony’s defense team would appeal and there would be a stay.

Additionally, Lippman tells PEOPLE that the Anthonys are still recovering from the emotional trial. "They are really trying to move forward," he said. "They have been through a lot, and they're figuring out their next step."

If they received a call from Casey, would they speak to her? "That depends on a lot of things," Lippman said. "I don't think they'd know what they'd do until it happened. And their answers would probably be different. Cindy might, but George might not."
