I'll be very curious to see how Tampa General Hospital's AquaFence worked out.

I imagine when they built the hospital the land was free, but right on the water in a hurricane-prone bay just seems like a large predictable problem, especially with global water levels rising, not dropping.

The dog was tied to a fencepost ahead of Hurricane Milton’s arrival. A FL state trooper rescued the animal. The cruel person/people involved have not been located yet. jmo

I get the feeling he has mental health challenges and his small sailboat is all he has between him and homelessness.

I bothers me that he is getting all this publicity, which is likely not helping things at all. It is good that he weathered the storm OK, as I fully expected to see that tiny little boat with no rain or surge protection to get swamped and sink.

That's what I'm thinking. We see lots of dumped dogs where I live. Maybe they were going to a place that wouldn't take him, so they dumped him in a very public spot.

Haven't been able to get through to my family just yet, cell and home phones are still out. Power went out there before Milton even started coming ashore, so they're probably still dealing with that. I'm thinking positive!
