According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Amoria Brown was with her 3-week-old daughter, Omoria Brown, and her sister-in-law, Sanaii Brown, on Sunday around 10 p.m.

All three girls were last seen in the 5200 block of East Huntington Drive. Investigators say they are possibly headed to the high desert area with family.

Amoria and the baby, Omoria, still missing. Sanaii Brown has returned home.

*****
Omoria, the newborn, suffers from a heart condition and requires daily medication, police said. Brown's family said the young mother left without taking the infant's medicine.

According to Raquel, the girl called her family to let them know she and the baby were OK. Their whereabouts remain unknown, although relatives believe she's heading for the High Desert.

Hold the phone here. The 14yr old has a 15yr old sister in law? This isn't mathing for me. Either way I look at it, we have to minors one of them is married apparently. Is it the 14yr old married to the 15yr olds brother, or is the 15yr old married to the 14yr olds brother? Confused. IMO

From the NBC LA link shared above:

“Omoria, the newborn, suffers from a heart condition and requires daily medication, police said. Brown's family said the young mother left without taking the infant's medicine.

"It’s just a lot right now; trying to take it all in, trying to process it," said Raquel Brown, Amoria's guardian. "I just want the baby to be OK. She’s not a bad mom. I’m not going to say that she’s bad. She’s young. I can’t just expect her to change overnight, so I do want to make that clear, but I’m here to help."

According to Raquel, the girl called her family to let them know she and the baby were OK. Their whereabouts remain unknown, although relatives believe she's heading for the High Desert.”

I didn't catch this part on my initial read of the NBC LA article. It was at the very end after an ad.

When police initially released the notice of the disappearance, it included a missing 15-year-old girl who was described as Brown's sister-in-law. She has since reunited with her relatives, according to her family.

The person described as sister-in-law, Sanaii Brown, is back with her relatives but the 14 year old girl and her newborn baby are still missing.

The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for three young girls who have gone missing from a Los Angeles neighborhood, all of whom are under the age of 16 and one of whom is a mother to a newborn in need of daily medication.

According to the LAPD, 14-year-old Amoria Brown was last seen with her 3-week-old daughter Omoria Brown and 15-year-old sister-in-law Sanaii Brown in the 5200 block of Huntington Drive in L.A.’s El Sereno neighborhood.

Amoria is described by authorities as a Black girl who stands 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds and has black hair with brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt, gray shorts and gray sandals.

They do not say in the article if the girls took the newborn's heart meds with them or not. I HOPE SO.

At 14, I'm not sure if the young mom understands how important those meds could be. I hope they are in a safe place to care for this tiny baby. Newborns are very fragile in terms of heat or cold, and dehydration and sustenance. Hopefully they are with someone who can help monitor the situation.

(LOS ANGELES) — California officials are asking for help locating a 14-year-old mother, her newborn and her 15-year-old sister-in-law, all of whom haven’t been seen since Sunday night.

Amoria Brown, 14; her daughter Omoria Brown, 3 months old; and Sanaii Brown, 15, were last seen at around 10 p.m. Sunday and were believed to be headed to a high-desert area with family, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

An Ebony Alert — an alert for the suspicious or unexplainable disappearance of a Black person — was issued by authorities for the missing girls on Tuesday.

Police told ABC News they do not suspect foul play.

Amoria Brown is described as Black, 5-foot-4 and about 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was seen wearing a multicolored shirt, gray shorts and gray sandals, according to the LAPD.

Sanaii Brown is Black with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5-foot-1 and weighs about 150 pounds, the LAPD said.

Police ask anyone with information about the teens and newborn to contact the LAPD at 1-800-222- 8477.

This is confusing:

Amoria Brown, 14; her daughter Omoria Brown, 3 months old; and Sanaii Brown, 15, were last seen at around 10 p.m. Sunday and were believed to be headed to a high-desert area with family, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

It says they were last seen 'at 10 pm and were heading to high desert area 'with family.' I wonder what family and why they cannot contact them?

High Desert area could be Bakersfield or San Bernardino area maybe? It is concerning that they were last seen traveling with family but have since then been reported as missing. Who was driving ?

I'm thinking the 'family' they were traveling with might be older brothers or cousins, and for some reason no one is answering their cell phones? I'd be very worried if my 14 yr old and her 3 days old baby were traveling with teenaged cousins and no one was responding to me/

How is a 15 year old girl a sister-in-law to a 14 year old girl? Is the 15 year old married to A's brother? Can you get married legally at 15?

This sounds messy and I hope the baby is ok :(

“It’s just a lot right now; trying to take it all in, trying to process it,” Amoria’s guardian Raquel Brown said, per NBC News. “I just want the baby to be okay. She’s not a bad mom. I’m not going to say that she’s bad. She’s young. I can’t just expect her to change overnight, so I do want to make that clear, but I’m here to help.”

According to Raquel, Amoria called her family to let them know she and the baby were okay, but their whereabouts still remains unknown

Oh man. I'm not liking the sound of this :(. She didn't take the baby's medication. Her "SIL" returned home. She's still on the run.....

WHERE is the baby? :( I'm not liking where it sounds like this is going.

Not necessarily. The 15 yr olds big brother could be married into Amoria's family. Which would make the 15 yr old a sis-in-law to all the siblings.
