Can someone please tell me if juror 5 had to sit on the DT side because that was the only place to sit, or did she pick that side? Who laughed out loud today? I have a bad feeling about juror 5, but I still admire her for not making the talk show circuit. The only reason I have faith that this jury can convict Jodi is because the case isn't being tried in California or Florida. I've missed all but 2 hours of court today, so forgive me if this has been discussed.

I'm pretty sure everyone outside of the family and friends of Travis and the media has to sit on the defense side. Dr. Drew's Katie sits on that side every day.

I want to know if Katie noticed when Mr Martinez was questioning her, she kept looking at the jury as if for some kind of validation of how his style questioning of her was being received by them especially after answering him?? Also were they looking back at her when she was looking at them during his questioning?

She is smart she knew what she was doing on that stand and I wanted to wiped the smirky smile off of Jodi's face as if she was getting one over on him! Ugh!!

I believe (and hope) that J5 after being dismissed is on her P&Q's as far as behavior.

I noticed at the end of the last sidebar before the little break, Tricolor gave a smile-hello to someone in the direction of JA/DT area. Any observers notice it?

I have one pic so far from KCL - not sure if it is just random shot outside courthouse or if there was a press conference or something that I missed. I had to miss the afternoon to go to get new glasses. (Expect better art and pics with any luck! LOL)

I was following the trial today on HLN channel, but the last I saw of the trial was on JVM where JM asked ALV if she was wanting to spar with him, then a sidebar was called. Once NG came on all the court coverage was repeats. did anything happen after that sparring comment sidebar or was court dismissed at that time?

KCL - I didn't catch every minute today, but I noticed at least twice where the judge smacked down JW in front of the jury. These are the first two times I can recall that happening in what I've seen of the entire trial.

• One was when JW lied and said ALV wasn't reading stuff, and the judge said something to the effect of "I saw her looking at the paper while she was talking."
• The other was when JW made an objection as a mischaracterization, when it was her speaking objection that was the mischaracterization. The judge told her, "I think you misunderstood the question." JW wanted a sidebar and the judge blew it off, asking JM to repeat the question. Oh snap!!

You've said lots of times the perceptions are different in the courtroom than what we see on TV. Did you sense that these (and maybe there were others, since I only saw a couple minutes of JM's cross) were signaling the judge's impatience with JW incompetence and time-wasting? Those seemed like significant moments to me.

All spectators sit on that side. Not only that, but we're told exactly what seat to sit in. They fill the seats back to front, so the first people in line end up in the back row.
