PASA! I don't know if you saw that I sent out a message looking for you (I was looking at all of the spectators and was hoping you were one of them), but I couldn't find the thread again on tapatalk. :( Katie told me you couldn't make it.

Omigosh, when she saw the journal and JM said, "Do you recognize this?" and she said, "You bet I do!" or whatever she said with enthusiasm, I agree, she really feels connected to that journal. I agree that she wished she could hold onto it.

I'm sorry I didn't see a message from you. The boards are fast and furious during trial. I missed a lot yesterday.
I'm going to try for Monday. I want to see Juan in action. :-)

I'm glad you noticed how attached she was to her journal too. It was just creepy to me how she grabbed onto it and didn't want to give it back to Juan. (watching on live-stream). I wondered if it was just me or did others notice too. :)

Juan needs to drop it on the floor and watch her evil side come to life. Either that or give it to Detective Flores to look through. It would kill her, I just know it. MOO LOL!

No, I figured out quickly that she was misinformed about it. Donovan WAS in jail, but has been released. I'm curious to know what she was in for. :what:

To my knowledge Donovan did her time and has been released. Her partner was not incarcerated as far as I know.

I read somewhere her charges had to do with arson. But don't hold me to it as I don't know the details.

You were great on Dr. D, btw. I imagine it's nerve racking with the delay between the studio and the InSession truck.

I wish they would let the guests talk more and less of his co-hosts useless babble. MOO :)

Tricolor looks tired. I'm tired, too. Let's name the jury!

(NOTE, these names are not meant to be offensive or hurt anyone's feelings. First thing that came to mind, usually.) I typed this list out once and when I hit post, the site kicked me off! I hope it doesn't happen again. I just take too dang long typing! lol These are numbered, 1 is the person in the front row, closest to Jodi. The second row again starts at the person (#10) closest to Jodi.

Jurors

1.Church Lady- Mid 50's, short hair, no make-up, glasses.

2.Trump-Guy in 40's, lots of hair, car salesman look.

3.Housewife-She is a big lady (tall and heavy set, not obese) with a very sweet face, no make-up.

4.Grandpa-Bald, sweet faced older man that looks like my grandpa.

5.Tricolor-Early 30's, short, stylish haircut with three colors, reminds me of one of my hairstylists.

6.Nancy-Lady in her 50's, lovely face, reminds me of Nancy Reagan with glasses, short sassy haircut.

7.Paul Rudd-Younger guy, mid-late 20's with spiky hair, sweat jacket, looks like the actor Paul Rudd.

8.The CEO-Good looking man, mid 50's with goatee. Can see him being the jury foreman.

9.Willy-Old hippy with long white ponytail, thin, small build.

10.Barb-Female, 40's, has the "sexy librarian" look, wearing a form fitting sweater, slender build and voluptuous. If ANYONE on the jury is offended by disparaging comments regarding breast augmentation, my guess is it would be her. She is the only juror I couldn't see very clearly; just when she entered and exited the courtroom and when I stretched up out of my seat to gawk at her.

11.Poquito-Little Mexican guy (maybe 5'3) with long graduated pony tail, lots of facial hair and piercings.

12.Neil-Early 50's high forehead, glasses, looks very nervous and turns red easily. This is the guy that makes KCL nervous.

13.The Wrestler-Younger good looking guy, large build.

14.Old potsmoking CPA (I have no idea why I wrote this, i have ZERO recollection of this juror. He did not make any impression on me, other than when I was going down the rows naming them.)

15.Elderly Man-This man is definitely the oldest juror, he occasionally uses the headphones to listen to the proceedings that Jodie's Auntie uses.

16.Maureen-Red haired, glasses (the red might be too red to be a natural ginger) If I had to guess one Mormon on the jury, it would be her.

17.Pony Tail-Young girl, pony tail, plain, pony tail and sweats.

18.The Artist-Bald, attractive, glasses, 50's-60's, large build, holds his notebook on a binder as if he's going to sketch. He looks around the gallery a lot. I thought we met eyes a couple of times, but who knows, that room is so huge!

That's our jury, according to Anita, folks! :seeya:

BBM - You know I have theory that people like Jodi and Casey Anthony probably connected more to their journals than actual people. It's like a friend they confide in who never judges them or puts them down. Since we know sociopaths can't bond with other human beings, they bond with their journals and see them as part of themselves maybe, and probably care more about them than most.

Very good point. I never thought of it like that, but it makes perfect sense. Thank you!

I haven't had a diary/journal since grammar school. I'm horrible at writing, as if that's a newsflash to anyone here. LOL!!!!

Thank you, Thank you, Anita! I am trying to clear my schedule (ok, so really I am trying to think of a way to justify the babysitter to my husband.)

Just curious, not sure if it is allowed to ask... maybe Katie Coolady can answer if she is comfortable - what does KatieCoolady look like? I have been trying to spot her on tv. I see TOK all the time. Is she sitting near her?

Any screen shots of our local celebrities during their DrDrew appearances?

KCL's real photo is her avatar. She usually sits with the family and they wait in a separate area before the trial than the general public, but she comes out at breaks. I'm sure there are screen shots of her!

Page 10

Wrestler, CEO, Nancy, Tricolor and Willy all taking furious notes about JA calling her dad the day after her PEEPING incident, but NOT telling him that Travis broke her finger.

Paul Rudd is turned, full body, towards Jodi. No expression on his face.

Talking about Jodi claiming she walked in on Travis with child *advertiser censored*, Maureen has her hand over mouth.

"My mind doesn't work like that"-when asked if she doesn't remember stuff more clearly when she's under heightened emotional state. Tricolor shakes her head no at Jodi.

Jodi's mom, clearly agitated by JM asking over and over again what time she came over to TA's after Mimi's Cafe, says out loud, "She SAID she doesn't know!" !!!!!

"Do you have memory problems?" Gallery loudly snickers.

Anita.. what is your take on Earl? Do you feel nervous about him? Can you articulate what is the hesitation about him?

Page 7

HOLY COW and THANK GOD! I thought the judge meant for her to read the ENTIRE transcript (for the past 3+ weeks) not just the entire transcript for that day!

Disrepectful. Also, I'm glad that their anger/ire is now obviously directed at someone else because Donovan noticed me trying to eavesdrop on her conversation with her girlfriend and now they're cupped hand whispering and writing notes. (I don't mean to be rude, I just want to bring back as much info for my peeps, here!)

Being a visual person, it's really hard for me to listen to JM pointing out pages to JA without seeing what he's pointing to. I like exhibits. I think there are some jurors who feel the same.

A law student in my row is "softing" a tiny lavender blanket. Odd.

LOL! That is so funny. I was doing the same out in the hall when Bryan Carr was talking to the two ladies sitting next to me. *that was before anyone knew who he was*
He likes to talk and I like to listen. :)

My husband was with me and, ready to leave but knew when Bryan started talking I was going to stay. :-)

This may not be popular, but, my honest opinion of him is he has been duped by the defendant. He is someone she'd never give the time of day to if she was on the outside.
He feels sorry for her and truly believes her story, another of her victims.
That's my personal take having seen him before the media found out about him.

He's "high-strung, animated?" for lack of better words, but not to the degree he is when being interviewed.

MOO

Anita..

THANK YOU for your notes! I love the insight of what's really going on in the courtroom it can be hard to judge the feel/tone of what's going on there from the Feed/Tv broadcasts.

The Jury Names.. I LOVE IT! Now I have a visual of what they must look like sitting there listening to all JA's lies fantasy & insanity!

You were great on Dr D last night I liked you were animated about getting that last question asked almost jumping up to say Waittttttttttt Dr D this is important!! :floorlaugh:

Thanks again for all the notes!!

Before trial I ran into Jinkasauraus (literally) as she came off the elevator running to get to court and I was running from the r.r. to sit in the queue to be selected for court. I noticed then that she is tiny, but looking at her in the courtroom, she is STUNNING (underlined twice) in person. And she looks MUCH younger, as well.

The defendant is being a smartass/smarmy/smirky jerk. No more mousy librarian!

OMG! Jurors NOT (underlined twice) amused with her cutesy "Lonnies baptism did not include pop rocks & tootsie pops". I see a sneer.

She thinks she's going to outsmart him. (Juan)

Gallery collectively smirked when JM asked JA if she was an attorney (she said it wasn't a crime to read her journal)

FOJ think the braid testimony is funny. ????? There is something a little off about Auntie. Not in a bad or evil way. Maybe she's got an intelligence deficit?

I thought the same about Jean too, she's younger looking and prettier in person.
Most people I've seen on the live feed and then in person look much better in person. The courtroom lighting isn't kind to any of us. :-)

One more question....

Do you talk about websleuths in public, especially when you are at the courthouse? I realize that it isn't the Secret Society of Sleuthers or anything like that.... just curious.

Anita: " well hello, beth karas, so lovely to meet you"
BK: " lovely to meet you as well, what brings you here?
Anita: "well, beth, I am an avid websluether"
BK: "oh really, I have heard of websleuths, I read there often. Lets be bff's"

Thank you, Katiecoolady, and Anita, too. Yesterday was the 1st day I ever saw either the perp or Nurmi read without glasses. Was it, or had you ever seen either of them read glassless before? :waitasec:

(My guess is he wasn't reading at all, just pretending, because he has genuine need for glasses, unlike the perp.)

I noticed when the jury is out of the room she doesn't wear them. I think the glasses are a prop to make her look like an innocent school marm. MOO :)

Page 11

"...men like you screaming at me and Travis Alexander". I quickly look to the jury. NONE of them men look sympathetic AT ALL. Tricolor again, shaking her head "no" at Jodi. That little rehearsed "trump" card did not get the reaction she and her team expected. I don't think she realizes it.

They made plans weeks beforehand to bring up boxes of Christmas stuff? (My eyeballs are rolling loudly in my head.) I think Donovan can hear them!

I can hardly recall my own current phone number on a moment's notice, yet she proudly recites hers which is now 4 years old!

OMG...I'm getting a blinding headache. :banghead:

She really enjoys reviewing this "reviewing of the texts". Maureen is taking LOTS of notes!

Anita.. what is your take on Earl? Do you feel nervous about him? Can you articulate what is the hesitation about him?

Neil? Juror 12 in Anita's World? You'd have to ask KCL. He does look distressed or nervous. He may be uncomfortable with all the S-E-X talk.

Whatsup.. I was thinking same thing that it would be interesting to go down one day & watch in person. I'm a little apprehensive because I don't know anyone feel little awkward etc but I'm glad you asked the questions in case I decided one day next week to just do it.

YES! How'd you know? In fact I have to leave to meet my new BFF for lunch! :floorlaugh:

I did mention to Beth that she has a lot of fans and that we've discussed putting our money together and buying a network to hire her. She was interested! lol She said, "WHO? WHERE?" And KCL said, online, chat rooms or something like that.

But other than that, not really. I met a sweet young gal in the morning and I told her about Websleuths, but I don't think I went as far as telling her the name.

Honestly, as soon as you walk off the elevator onto the 5th floor, you're part of the crowd! Everyone's watching the elevator to see whose getting off and as you walk up, they'll make conversation or at least smile. Seriously, I felt a little nervous, too, knowing that the only person I know (Katiecoolady) would be sitting with family but I met people right off the bat! There are lots of people who go alone because like us, they have no one else in their REAL LIVES who "get this". GO!!!!

Yes. sorry. I don't even know where Earl came from...lol. I must have imaginary juror friends.

So you don't get the same vibe from him that KCL does? He's just a more shy/awkward listener?

thank you!
