Welcome back to the Delphi Murders discussion thread.

On the afternoon of Feb. 13th, 2017, best friends Abigail Williams and Liberty German were dropped off at a bridge in the town of Delphi. On Feb 14th their bodies were discovered around noon about 50 feet from the north bank of Deer Creek which is about 0.5 miles from the bridge.

Richard Allen has been arrested and charged with the murders of Abby and Libby

So my question for the masses as I don’t understand the logic behind it.

Why did the Defense go with Odinism when we know they don’t even believe it according to the latest podcasts. Why wouldn’t they go with a RL or somebody like KAK?

I still believe that would go over a lot better with a jury than a cult. Mooo

It may have been something of a knee-jerk reaction when they first came on the case and read all of the discovery from the State, which included all the EF, BH, PW stuff. I mean, it IS compelling when you factor in the lengths that Ferency, Click, and Murphy went to and that Click at least was surprised to hear RA was arrested because of what their investigation uncovered. Add to that the mountains of "lost" evidence and the State not turning over discovery in a timely manner, they thought there had to be more to this story.

I suspect that over time, the more investigating they have done on their own, their theory may have shifted to something more like "it was staged to LOOK like heathenism, and these guys (BH et al.) were easy targets."

I'm ready for a Perry Mason moment during or after the trial.

If you posit RA was in the advertiser censored ring with KK, it answers two questions.

“How did he know to be there, then, moving purposefully down the trail with his murder kit?”

No, we don’t know what LE knows. It’s a theory. It’s my own best guess, anyway.

Painting a picture of some dark, evil group that prey upon little girls cause fear and panic. It causes people to feel unsafe and people start to wonder about those that are different and don't follow the societal norms.

In other words,. it's " look at my poor malnourished client when compared to this evil group. Obviously he isn't the killer."

Satanic panic, it's real and has worked before.

IMO the D simply used Odinism to support their Frank’s Motion that LE lied when obtaining the Search warrant, so if it was successfully ruled then the results of that search would be thrown out. But if it had been successful, the search results being cast aside wouldn’t prove the Odins were responsible for the murders. They may have never believed the Odins were responsible. Instead it served their purpose as a convenient means to an end - their desperate attempt to have the search results removed from trial evidence. MOO JMO
