Delphi murders: Libby’s sister, at Ball State now, does ‘anything to keep the story alive’

We agree with Kelsi German. Anything to keep this story alive until this killer is caught!!!!

Welcome back to the Delphi Murders discussion thread.

On the afternoon of Feb. 13th, 2017, best friends Abigail Williams and Liberty German were dropped off at a bridge in the town of Delphi. On Feb 14th their bodies were discovered around noon about 50 feet from the north bank of Deer Creek which is about 0.5 miles from the bridge.

Abby and Libby's discussion thread has been shut down for quite a while. Why? Because without new information to discuss, posters turn on each other like the Donner Party.

Now, it is Libby's sister who has said what everyone needs to hear...we need to keep this case alive. We need to constantly hit social media with this killers's picture, sketch, and audio recording.

Not a day should go by without all of us getting the picture, the sketch, and the audio recording out to everyone via any source where people can see him and/or hear him.

Carrie Timmons, Libby's bio mom, stated in a Facebook post that the police do have DNA.

If this is true, then the perp is not in the DNA database. This means the only way we can catch him is for someone somewhere to recognize this man.

It boggles my mind to think about the fact that no one has been able to identify the killer.

Kelsi German is going to college, but Liberty's sister is already one of the smartest people around.
German said, “Eventually, I opened up. I’m not sure I can keep quiet about this, at this point.”
Websleuths agrees with you, Kelsi. We cannot keep quiet at this point.

We are done sitting back and doing nothing.

His picture, his sketch, and his voice need to saturate social media along with any other outlet you can think of.

On a personal note, I would encourage both families to use social media.

I know for a fact that Abby and Libby's immediate family do not trust people on the Internet because of past experiences. I do not recall seeing any family member on Twitter or Facebook discussing the case except for Libby's bio mom, Carrie. Forgive me if I am wrong.

So R&B were stating this information in their filing. How would they know? Thank goodness that RA was being videotaped 24/7 during that time.

It will be curious to find out if they have actual proof or were going by RB statements? Who, coincidentally refused a court order to appear in Court and testify on behalf of RA. He wouldn't leave his cell.

This has been one rollercoaster of crazy for sure.

JMO
I assume the staff from the facility contacted them to advise of his reaction to having been provided disclosure, or they were advised of it by staff when they visited RA at the facility the day after his April 3 phone call confession to his wife (moo based on quote and link below).

"In another court document, the defence argued that his attorneys visited him one day after the 3 April call and found him to be “schizophrenic and delusional” and suffering from “psychotic symptoms”.
While behind bars, the married father has been “wetting down paperwork” and “eating it”, and refusing to eat or sleep, the documents state."

Who, with a distinctly British flair, was working with/for the Defense?

Interesting spellings...

JMcuriousO
Meh... I go back and forth all the time between British and American spellings, slang etc... sometimes people just pick one way or the other and roll with it, and other times, they go back and forth. Or sometimes, diff spell checkers are configured differently and it gets mixed in. LOL MOOOO.

Bold and font by me for clarity:

While it is understandable, I wanted to ask how you know this for a fact? Are you a verified insider with some connection to the case or the families?

At this point I think when things are actually revealed, at trial or change of plea hearing, we will find out that not just the FM is a fantasy but most of the details the defense is offering as fact….ain’t.

Opinion
What "facts" do you think are not actually factual? Because so far, we know that LE did at least consider some interesting possibilities... but didn't pursue those to the point of making any arrest(s) for whatever reasons they had.

I copied that, it was not by me it was posted by Tricia. The first part I included the thread and post numbers.

In thread #85 the first two posts were by Tricia. This is the reason I believe the families are following on social media, and it could include here. Sorry for the confusion, I don't know how to include a post from a previous thread.

Ahhh ty for clarifying. :)

I’m no expert, but don’t most guilty people, plead not guilty? They’re not going to give up a chance to be set free, kwim?
Well, this for my side of the world, but more people plead guilty than you'd think. This study found only 17% ended up going to trial with a not guilty plea. The rest took an early or late guilty plea.

Is this state or federal? Do not know what you call it in Australia.

Only 5% of federal defendants in the US choose to go to trial, this is known as a trial penalty. That you get more time in prison and more charges if you go to trial.

District court, so, local, not Federal.

I know we have different systems, but I also knew that not guilty pleas were relatively uncommon, whatever the system. Most cases never go to trial like we see on tv. Most people who did the thing see the advantage of a plea deal or an early plea that means they do less time than if they plead not guilty and lose.

I have been re-reading some documents and I read RL's probable cause SW's again and unless my tired eyes missed it, I saw no mention of that pesky unspent bullet and any distant relatives (like it) that "could" have matched. o_O SMH

HTHMOO

So, that unspent bullet mightn't be connected to the case or what?

I know we’ve discussed timing before of when this unspent round was found and I came across this news report stating investigators “resecured” the crime scene 3 weeks afterwards. It still would have been prior to the RL PCA written on March 17th.

Also in comparing looking at the RL PCA, there’s a lot of mention re:cameras, photo film, digital storage etc and I do recall during the contempt hearing transcripts, when the defense is talking to figs buddy about the crime scene photos fig had, one of the photos was described as showing an indentation on the ground that looked like tripod legs. So IMO that tracks.
(ETA: I double-checked myself and it was actually with Holeman page 146 of the transcript 3.18.24 Contempt - Google Drive)

I always felt that KA called R&B as soon as she hung up on RA after his confessions and told them exactly what he'd done. JMO

It could be both though, IDK.

LE monitored the crime scene for weeks after it was released. So much so that some wondering Looky-Lous got a multi car response.
From my recollection LE were there for 20-30 minutes. Definitely not enough time to process a new piece of evidence.
If that had occurred, they would have a bigger response and would have resecured the scene for hours if not days to go over every inch.
IMO the unspent bullet was found during the initial processing of the crime scene, located between the deceased children.
There is absolutely no evidence otherwise. Just wild claims by individuals seeking attention for their content.
All my opinion

That would also make sense. If she did they’d know about at least his confession to her. But I’m not sure if she would have known about the rest of his issues at that point? I’m not sure if the staff is legally obligated to tell an inmate’s wife if he goes off the deep end?

Yes, and the State saves a lot of time, work, and $$$ by offering pleas verses going to trial. I have mixed emotions on the way this is handled at times. Pleas should be fairly based upon the nature of the crime and absolutely non discriminatory across the board regardless of a Defendant's race, religion, social or financial status. (In a perfect world I know )

That is why the role of an ethical, vigorous Defense Attorney is so imperative in the Judicial Process. It is their JOB to keep the scales balanced and offer their Defendants protection from those who often have more power.

Holeman told RA in their last talk before his arrest that they found his bullet where they found the girls remains. Then we had the conspiracy theory lovers claiming no COC and no photographs were taken of the bullet at the crime scene showing it being literally being taken out of the ground. Huh?

We don't even have the State's evidence yet, thank goodness we shall see at trial.
