Friends? Well, I'm not so sure @that. Believe it or not I have to be reminded of who my real friends are. To me, a friend is someone who has KNOWN you and loves you despite ALL, through thick and thin! I call my grandma my friend and I call my man my friend.
Despite the fact that I made the mistake of being friends with my boys...I count them and there friends as friends. Friends love you. Friends stand by you. Friends understand.

You seem like cool people, but take no offense that I don't consider you a friend.

There is a part of me that would LOVE to believe that the world is a friendly plce...but there is a part of me that rules, thar says...NO. : (

Likewise to that. I meant "virtual friends"

So then, dismiss completely the theory that these women may have been killed because they didn't go along with the program?
No, that is one of the good theories and especially given what we know about KO & ALC working out of DS's house. But we don't know who is getting angry that the services aren't being provided. For all we know the pimps got mad because negative attention was brought straight to their doorstep. I'm sure the pimps don't want some naked man running from their house to their neighbor's screaming that some guy with a bat is trying to kill them. Just like the folks in OB don't want a women running through their neighborhood screaming that someone is trying to kill her.

Just like those types of scenes are bad for the pimp's business, they can also be bad for a neighborhood's property values.

Just to add: if the pimps have a boss, even higher up than them, then that might be where the order is coming down from... and they may have one go to guy to straighten folks out.

AC and DS had a whole big robbery scam going. They probably made a bunch of enemies. Maybe LISK was one of them?

These girls werent catering to big shot business men. Those girls cahrge like $1000 an hour and probably have some kind of organization protecting them. AC and the rest of GB4 were NOT high end girls. I believe the LISK knew this. I believe he knows the inner workings of how the "Bizz" operates. He knew the back up for these girls stopped at guys like MP. I could break MP over my knee. Its not like "Jimmy and Tony" or "Boris" were going to show up and chop his head off. I think LISK knew this. He really is smart. The Harvard definition of smart is the ability to understand relationships. I thin this guy understnads relationships very well. JMHO.

I have a question for people who have worked or are currently working as prostitutes: what would be the reason you would agree to leave your phone at home when meeting a client? I've thought about this again and again, and I always come back to trust. While I can imagine a drug addicted prostitute might go with a client they felt slightly uneasy about if they were promised a large some of money, I have a hard time believing a woman would leave her phone at home simply because she was offered a lot of money.

I think a lot of people consider their cell phones their lifelines, and I think a prostitute, especially one working independently, would feel even more attached to their phone. Because it always comes back to trust for me, I have been thinking about how a prostitute would come to trust a client so completely. I think the most obvious answer is numerous, previous positive/uneventful experience with the client. However, after watching a program about Steve Wright (AKA The Suffolk Strangler), I had another idea on how a client could gain trust, or gain trust faster. If you don't know who Steve Wright is, he's a serial killer who murdered a number of prostitutes in England, and he was known to cross-dress.

Would any current or former prostitutes be able to weigh in how they would perceive a cross-dressing male client?

After thinking about Steve Wright, I started thinking about Fred and Rosemary West. Rosemary worked as a prostitute (not on the streets, as far as I know), and she and Fred raped/sexually assaulted and murdered a number of vulnerable young women. It seems a lot of these young women were picked up when they were hitch hiking, waiting at bus stops, etc.

I then started thinking about Willie Pickton, the Canadian serial killer who murdered several prostitutes. From what I can recall from a book I read on the case, at least 2 women, one of which worked as a prostitute, helped him get some of his victims to his home (a lot of prostitutes didn't want to travel to his farm, especially after people began to realize a serial killer was preying on women in their area).

Would any former or current prostitutes be able to weight in on how a female counterpart would impact their perception of a client? Also, if a woman/prostitute arranged for you to meet a client, would you trust that client more?

I'm not saying I necessarily believe any of these scenarios relate to the LISK, but I think some insight into how these types of clients would be perceived by prostitutes would help me understand how certain factors can impact the trust dynamic between prostitutes and clients.

I never worked in tbe business but i also wondered the same thing. As a matter of routine we all head out the door with our phones. Recently a woman was found on the North Shore and a poster said it was not to far from a cllub or establishment that does not allow cell fhones inside. Maybe thats the answer. Its not a matter of trust.

I'm sorry but when I'm 'disrobing' for a man that is at my location to simply have sex with me... A man who is clearly NOT trust worthy, as he is usually cheating on a wife, girlfriend, and/or kids, I would NEVER leave my phone home. And to be quite honest... When I am with a customer, I have a phone that is the hotel phone in the room (#1), I have my 'everyday phone' (#2) thrown up on the dresser... but then I always have an extra phone hidden in the room, in arms distance at all times....(#3) Also any places I have worked, I have made sure that when my johns come to see me, that they are walking past not one, but 2 video survilence cameras.
When I mentioned some time ago that I have had customers who allow me to their homes to come and go as I please while they weren't there, it wasn't so much trust coming from me, as them trusting IN me. Having been allowed to come and go as I pleased simple made things more comfortable, but I still didn't trust 100%. And you can't! Because when you do, you become a target.

See, I have to question that John...would they invite people to the home that they actually lived in to rob those people?I could see doing that in some parking lot, a warehouse district or a seedy no-tell motel but at their home... I wish DS would tell us what that deal really was...IIRC, he said the guy wanted more and got weird so they did what they usually did when a client got weird...they came out of the other rooms, armed with bats, and chased him off?

Wonder what the truth is...

Come to think of it... a bat might have killed some of the males who were dumped in Manorville...

Good question. Someone just threw a very possible answer.

What high end places by OB don't allow cameras?

But here is another questin....if the place was high end why would alc show up in a hoodie?

DS is a junkie. Would anything he said really be credible? This is the same guy that said he refused to be ALC's "pimp", and then turned around and let her use his home to meet clients, as well as act as the muscle when things went awry. He has never been consistent in his storytelling.

I thought he was all squared away. Straight, clean. He is a character who definitely came within 150 ft. Of the LISK. For some reason DS, I'm rooting for DS. He was in process of getting his **** together; definitely not easy to do if your banging H.

None of it makes sense. The police tapped MB phone. We heard alot about her pimp receiving several calls. Was his phone tapped?

I dont think it has to be high end to be told no phones allowed. They may have been told its a privacy issue. They went against their better judgement with the lure of money. Or maybe it is a cop. I dont know what to think.

It was his phone. Maybe she was not allowed to take it.

Why do you respond to yourself?

No one tells escorts not to bring phones. Anyone who does will end up not seeing the escort because she won't come. Or if she does, she will bring her phone anyway.

That is it.

If the bf is to be believed in the article, the 30+ calls in 8 months is what stands out the most to me. that's some kind of fascination that he couldn't shake. was this guy trying to get caught or did he carry that on because he was somehow aware of the extent of LE's involvement (or lack there of) as far as the tracing tracking recording etc. that might or might not have been going on. and then he does a complete 180 a few months after the calls end and wants no part of next victims phones. I'm taking DS's word for it for the time being although he's shady, but he states AC said "that's not what he wants" when he tried to get her to take the phone. and I cant see MW leaving her phone behind at 1:30AM, even for just a quick trip to the corner store. so the money of course lured them out but it was the trust they had in someone that made them leave without their phones. what type of stranger would you trust enough to meet up with late at night without your lifeline?

They would not leave for a job without their phones. I don't buy that.

Speaking of phones, this is something that I've long wondered about. ( link )

When cops got Barthelemy's phone records, they determined that around the time she vanished, she checked her voice mail from Massapequa, L.I. They showed her picture at several motels, but no one recognized her.

They traced a second phone that belonged to her to an ex-con who said he picked it up after a tussle between hookers in Times Square orchestrated by a pimp.
