Are they going to show the courtroom on camera until the jury has a verdict?

I give the jury 15 minutes.

I agree, but to that we have to add ...

1.5 hours for judges/courts lunch

0.25 - 1 hr for typical tardiness

which gets us to the afternoon recess ...

plus typical 15 min tardiness

SO ...

see you back here at 3:30pm AZ time!

Wow. Just as the barbaric gruesome stabbing of Travis was overkill, so too IMO is this portion of the trial. She has been found guilty of Murder one. I don't see that this serves any purpose. She is never again going to see the light of day. While I understand that there are crimes that cut us to the bone (in this case literally), I cannot see that having her die for this does any good. I am against the death penalty.

...ummmm...Seque....
This might seem strange....but it's kinda 5 o'clock in my hippocampus now....:floorlaugh:

So are we just going to wait and assume it'll take like 15 minutes? That would be funny if they walked straight back in.

I hate the fact that her mom takes so many notes and I know she is going to write a book about this to try and make some cash. Ugh.

Wonder if she is happy that she spawned a daughter that turned to be one of the most brutal killers of all time! I don't think I would try to make $ off of that!

Why is everyone (except the jury) still in the courtroom? Is there going to be a lunch break?

How can she sit there so calm? Whack job.

You aren't kidding!!! Have live feed open and watching on laptop but have HLN muted in background. HLN running behind, so amazing how drastic the demeanor and manner in which she is sitting changes so rapidly the minute the jury left on live feed.....but still boohoo Jodi on tv....

Those eyes of JA's ....seriously couldn't be more evil and terrifying.

Sorry for the snark. I've treated and transported people with sharp force injuries, as well as just about every other injury and illness you can think of, and people feel pain no matter what the circumstance that lead to their injury. This endorphin defense is laughable. They literally scream and writhe in agony until I give them a loading dose of narcotics. Then they can feel the pain but can cope with it. (I'm having a little post paramedic PTSD)

I completely agree - and I seriously doubt that Travis Alexander was feeling any endorphin-related effects while Arias was slaughtering him while stabbing him to death. He felt extreme agony & terror for an eternity of at least 2 horrifically long minutes. The adrenaline defense is absurd.

Has anyone ever saw the movie "From the Hip"? Defense attorney knows his client is guilty and feels morally obligated to have him put away but ethically cannot do it so he represents him in a way so that the defendant's own actions during the trial is exhibited to persuade them into finding him guilty. Sometimes Nurmi's arguments and statements make me think he's in this position. I know he tried to get off the case from the beginning. Sometimes he will say stuff and I think "why would you bring up that point?"

BTW my first post. Hello from Bakersfield California:seeya::seeya::seeya:
WELCOME!!!!
