IS ON THE mENU....lol

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

JA looks like a wicked mess today.
That little ploy of hers with the interview that got her stuck in isolation gave her a taste of what her life will be in a very short time.
Alone in a small cell. No pod-mates for JA to think she's queen 'o the jail with. Isolated with her evil soulless self.

BBM-... a borderlines worst nightmare.

(No offense to our wonderful WS BPD's intended)

LOVE that Mr Martinez didn't ever call her by name today.
She's just a number now and she needs to get used to it.

News flash on HLN saying it will be one hour - jurors have just returned to room with sandwiches . . . . Jinkasauraus (Jean Casares) on phone on HLN.

The seriousness over took the emotional in the courtroom . . the photo of TA with the slit throat - he was freshly shaven . . . picture stayed on stand all during the sidebar - everyone faces down - that is when judge said very short break - that was an amazing long period of time.

Ok stuck on stupid here! When is the DP established? I thought that this was the phase of it.

After this is mitigation .. they deliberate on that too, then there's penalty which involves another deliberation ..

to get to DP they prove the crime meets aggravating factors, then they prove that there are no mitigators, then they prove that she is an oxygen thief .. at the last stage they can choose between LWOP or DP.

NO! They are finding on CRUELTY!

If they don't find cruelty, it would go on to LWOP or LwithP, I think, though, right? So in a way it could be finding death or not by ruling out the death option already at this point, imho.

Has he called her anything but ma'am during this whole trial?

Wow!

The mods have your work cut out for you...

There are over 1,000 viewers!

:what:

I don't think this will take long at all. They'll come back within 30 minutes and then, off to lunch break, before sentencing. I hope, anyway.

Sentencing? Huh? Isn't THIS sentencing? Aren't they they ones that decide death?

If Donovan got a make over.....she really really needs to get a refund! Just saying.

well she tried....lol. The few intv she gave before the trial she was looking quite rough indeed; so then she shows up in court with hair color; makeup and it was scary bad. :stormingmad:

Darn job! Just saw the first couple of mins (before Horn testified).

Was lunch announced or are they just deliberating? I want to try to catch it when they come back.
TIA

I'm home now, after reading everything here, crying, I came down with the ol' "stomach virus". I had to get home. Although your descriptions brought me to tears, I need to see this with my own eyes. Thank you everyone!

She's sizing up Jodi's neck for a noose?

No, they're deciding if the DP is still on the table by finding TA's death was especially cruel. After mitigation phase, they'll vote on DP or LWOP.
They can not vote for DP unless they find it especially cruel. In that case, they would find life, and the judge will decide LWOP or LWP.

F*%^!!!!!!!!!

This should be a no brainer.

I'm not as convinced about the DP being unanimous (yet) but we'll deal with that when we get there. I'm sure the defense will be highly manipulative and insulting throughout the penalty phase too, unfortunately.

Thanking the high heavens that Travis' family and friends will FINALLY be able to speak and have their voices heard by the court and the CMJA.

I don't think it will be unanimous when they first deliberate, but I think it will be a majority and they will get the others to vote with them. MOO.
