(Sept. 15, 2015) – *Stephany Elizabeth Lafountain (Bilecki) (23 @ time of crime/24/now 30) arrested (8/30/18) arraigned & charged (8/31/18) & indicted (8/29/18) with 2 counts of 1st degree murder, 3 counts of 2nd degree murder/intent serious injury/extreme indifference. Plead not guilty. $2M bond.
Trial was set to begin on 2/5/24 was vacated on 12/21/23 with no further dates.

A Fairbanks woman pleaded guilty to murder Tuesday morning for suffocating her two daughters in 2015 and 2017.
30-year-old, Stephany Elizabeth Bilecki, formerly known as Stephany Lafountain, pleaded guilty to two counts of felony second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her fourth-month-old and 13-month-old daughters.
