Acting chief of police, Sean Martines, said, "We had PAWS with K9s and they were able to put together a report on the whole incident and gave us two handlers of K9s flown down from a helicopter. The city itself has just had an unbelievable outpouring of support."

The uncertainty has been difficult for Ginnis’ family, which has been undecided on whether to have a memorial service without the recovery of her body, Firman said.
