The photographs show a woman, possibly Alaska Native, on the ground, spattered with blood and dirt, appearing to be either dead or unconscious. Key evidence in Smith’s murder trial included cellphone videos and images Smith created while killing one of his known victims.

The new images come from a cellphone Anchorage police detectives seized at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in 2019. Smith was on his way home from a vacation and police met him to interrogate him about growing evidence against him in the murder of Smith’s first known murder victim, Kathleen Jo Henry

Cassandra Lee Boskofsky is a possibility (Cassandra Lee Boskofsky – The Charley Project, The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs))
Cassandra has not had any contact with family members for several years. Her last contact with law enforcement was 08-07-2019.
Contact with police more recently than contact with her family may support the possibility that Cassandra was living a high risk life, which would be consistent with Brian Smith’s known victims.

If LE gets a lead on an identification, how will they be able to confirm or deny it?

“I would like APD to reopen the investigation,” Boskofsky’s cousin Marcella Irene Boskofsky-Grounds said. “You guys need to do better. Way better.”

A family affidavit shows Boskofsky-Grounds reporting her cousin missing on Aug. 28, 2019, after stating she was seen for the last time on Aug. 3 of that month
