HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WBMA) — The Huntsville Police Department asked for the public's help with locating a missing teen.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued an Emergency Missing Child Alert for 15-year-old Ja'Marious Logan.

Authorities said Logan was last seen Monday, September 25 around 6:00 p.m. in the area of Vernon Avenue in Huntsville.

He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a blue hoodie, and black and white Jordan shoes.

Logan is described as Black, 5'6" in height and weighs around 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. He also has a tattoo on his left arm that reads "9MM."

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Logan, police asked that you contact the Huntsville Police Department at (256) 924-1778 or call 911.

“It’s like torture on a family to go through this, no one should have to go through this,” said his aunt Laquinta Edwards. “I wish this on nobody. It’s just hard to not have heard from someone for eight days.”

On Monday, September 25, the family says his mother received a phone call that no parent wants to hear. “We walked the neighborhoods. We walked to Butler Terrace, Terry Heights, Northwood and all we heard was good things and nobody could understand why it was him that is missing.”

“I hope that those qualities and characteristics didn’t put him in a predicament for someone to take advantage of him,” said Lovelady. “He was a good soul. He is, not was. He is and we will find him, but we need your help.”

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department (HPD) says four people have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and death of Ja’Marious Logan.

HPD said remains believed to be Logan’s were found Thursday, Nov. 16 in Sylacauga, Alabama.

The department said Latorrie Gaddis, 33, has been charged with capital murder in connection to Logan’s death. The U.S. Marshals Service’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force located Gaddis in Alexander City, Alabama.

The department said that Latoya Wells, 37, and Corie Wilson, 33, have also been charged with kidnapping for their involvement in Logan’s disappearance.

Investigators have also obtained a hindering prosecution warrant for Gaddis’ wife, 34-year-old Deserea Pilar Cunningham. Officials say she was taken into custody in Sylacauga on Friday afternoon and booked into the Talladega County Jail.

Talladega County Coroner Shaddix Murphy told News 19 that the remains were found off Spearhill Road in a rural area of Sylacauga around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. He said the remains were “badly decomposed” and were found in a makeshift grave near an abandoned house. He said the Sylacauga Police Department was on the scene when the remains were found but did not participate in the investigation.

Logan was initially reported missing on Sept. 27. At the time HPD said was last seen on Sept. 25.

Logan’s mother, LaQueta Hurt has long said it is not like her son, was called June by friends and family, to be out of contact.

Not much has been revealed about the circumstances that led to Ja'Marious' death. 33-year-old Latorrie Gaddis has been arrested and charged with capital murder. Huntsville officers said Gaddis had been located in Alexander City, and was already wanted on assault charges.

"They were acquaintances in the area," Sgt. Jack Pugh of the HPD Major Crimes Unit had said on Friday. "They definitely knew each other."

Two others, Latoya Wells and Corie Wilson, were charged with kidnapping in connection with Logan's disappearance and, along with Gaddis, were arrested and taken to the Madison County Jail.

Logan's family, and the community at large, are left wondering about what led to Ja'Marious' killing - but took Saturday as a time to remember the young man they knew and loved.
