James Bradley Gunther, 62, was reported missing by his family to Coast Guard Sector Mobile watchstanders about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday. Gunther was piloting a sailing vessel from Gulf Shores, Ala., to Port St. Joe, Fla., and has failed to contact the family since Saturday.
Gunther's 48-foot sailing vessel, named Reliant, was found anchored near Ft. McRee, Fla., but there was no one aboard. The small white dinghy, normally with the sailing vessel, has also not been located.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Office in Louisiana arrested Michael Paul Rodgers, 36, after Rodgers allegedly tried to use the personal information of James Bradley Gunther, according to an Escambia County Sheriff's Office social media report...
Rodgers tried to use Gunther's passport and other identification to obtain a Louisiana driver's license.
How Rodgers obtained the documents is reportedly under investigation.
