I don’t know...I would think that there are some situations where it may be helpful for a more polished outsider to step up to the mic, but I can also see where it might an advantage to have a local do the talking. Perhaps it depends on who really is the target of the message: the perp, someone in the community who may know something, or both.

The feeling I got from the PC was that they in all probability have a strong suspicion as to the perps identity. I think that they are speaking directly to him and they feel the large reward is an enticement to him specifically. If this is the case, I pray it works.

When it’s live news we can say what’s being said live. The links were posted, the media was simply wrong.

Unfortunately, family was part of the problem with the false information. The brother said she was found.

The brother is a CHILD.
The media has no business talking to him or reporting what he says!
Also a child should never be used as a source.
Family IF they are there with the child otherwise only LE in charge.

IMO Bounty hunter must have some information that is credible and pertinent to finding Cupcake if the FBI/LE are collaborating with him/her and allowing their participation in such a high profile case. I haven’t followed a case like this in a while but I can’t recall a time when a bounty hunter was actively participating with FBI/LE in a national kidnapping investigation. JMO

I do, but it didn’t go so well.

I’ve often wondered why these appeals aren’t made more often. Odds are that someone who abducts her isn’t going to care... but if she was handed off you never know. I think it’s smart to give it a try.
