Through a phone conversation with family on May 6, 2013, she indicated she may be staying at an extended stay hotel. Has not been heard from since.
Rest in Peace, Jean.
That must have been a typo in the date of that last phone call. I hope that didn't cause investigators to neglect any match until this time.

So, was ‘Powders’ on the dentures supposed to be ‘Ponders?’ I’d think so. I hope that the typo was made by the denture makers, and not by LE, but there’s occasional mistakes of that sort—like listing someone as 54 inches tall, instead of 5’ 4”
do dentures usually have surnames printed on them?

RIP Jean. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.

If I'm ever found deceased in a hotel/motel I hope the manager has the human decency to call LE instead of dumping my body in a vacant house. I really hope this is investigated further.

I have so many questions. Wasn’t someone caring for the obviously ill woman? How soon from the time she disappeared was it that she was reported missing. How was this Tameka connected to her?

so obviously she didnt make any calls in 2013. would love to know more about that...
I wonder if the thief had anything to do with making it appear that Jean was alive after the discovery of her body, which seems to have been publicized by the investigating PD. Of course, it could also just be the faulty memory of family members, since it appears that Jean was not actually reported missing until 2015.

The thief's name is unfortunately common in the Atlanta area, but at least one person by that name is an LPN. It's possible this person served as a caregiver for Jean at some point or came into contact with Jean due to medical care she received.
