District Attorney Randall Houston tells the Montgomery Advertiser he doesn’t think there will be any problem getting the extension.

The Autauga County grand jury was empaneled in February 2017 to look into the death of Shannon Paulk, who was missing from her home in Prattville for two months in 2001 before rabbit hunters found her body in a public hunting area north of the town.

Thank-you both for these updates on Shannon.

Still hard to believe her case is still unsolved... sigh

The cause of death in Shannon's death has never been released. It should be noted that the " DA Houston announced that the composite has been deemed not credible based on new information."

The DA, however, just asked for MORE time for the grand jury investigation, which is promising in this case! http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2018/03/shannon_paulk_case_da_wants_mo.html

My guess would be that they ran the old DNA evidence they found on her body and they are trying to cross-reference/get samples.

Still can’t help but wonder if Shannon Paulk’s murder is somehow connected to the murder of Heaven LaShae Ross and the disappearance Teresa Melissa Dean. Too many similarities. Same general area. It’s just eery.
