Some campers in Fish Lake Provincial Park in Alberta, Canada noticed a loon coming towards them, which is unusual.
The distressed loon seemed to ask for their help to get fishing gear off of its body. Luckily the campers were able to remove the gear from its bill, neck and leg.
The loon was released into the water right after to join its friends and it looked like it was in good health. It even turned around to flap its wings as if to say "thank you".
