Police calling for tips on two-year anniversary of Shannon White's disappearance

The link above from 1 November, 2023, originally posted in this thread by @tarabull, is the most recent information I can find regarding Shannon's disappearance. I've seen nothing newer reported in MSM.

[...]
RCMP have not said publicly whether the ex is a suspect, and Mounties are keeping tight-lipped about whether any arrests have been made in the two years since White’s disappearance.
[...]

Agreed, there doesn't seem to be much information being released in this case.

AFAIK, the RCMP hasn't indicated what, if anything, may have been found at her ex-BFs trailer during their search. Also, nothing released in MSM regarding possible DNA or other potential evidence found in Shannon's Jeep. I do not recall whether the RCMP still has her Jeep impounded or possibly it was processed and given to her family?

''Kamloops RCMP Supt. Jeff Pelley told Castanet he is hoping to make improvements on a number of fronts in the next 12 months. One focus will be on repeat offenders, he said, and another will be on cold cases — “enhancing our historical crimes that are serious crimes and getting those to charge approval or recommendation."
“Those are areas we continue to focus on,” he said.

Kamloops has seen a number of high-profile murders go unsolved in recent years — most notably the disappearance of Shannon White in 2021, the two motel murders on Jan. 23, 2019, and the 2017 gangland slaying of Red Scorpions founder Konaam Shirzad.''

Bumping - where is Ms. White???
Yes indeed, an excellent question.

MOO, but based on the information released to the public so far it doesn't seem possible to solve her disappearance.

We know Shannon's Jeep was located shortly after her disappearance, but we do not have any information regarding possible forensic testing of her vehicle by the RCMP.

Per MSM reports we also know that her ex-BFs trailer was extensively searched. However I don't believe the RCMP released any information regarding that search or what may have been found.

''Evelyn urged anyone with information to contact police.

“It’s not too late to reach out. If somebody has information that they didn’t share at the time, it’s not too late,” she said.

“Please reach out and share that information, because you don’t know how small of a tip can lead to police advancing the investigation. So please do call.”

Even seemingly inconsequential nuggets of information can break a case open, Evelyn said.

“Don’t dismiss something if you think it was maybe nothing,” she said.

“It doesn’t hurt to give us a call so we can look into it and see if it’s something.”

Anyone with information about White’s disappearance can call police at 250-828-3000.''

I wonder what happened to her doggo.

ETA: Where is Shannon?!?!?!?!
Excellent question. Up to this point the RCMP have released minimal information to the public regarding Shannon's disappearance, so trying to piece together a series of events in her case is difficult at best.

Unfortunately she hasn't been seen or heard from in nearly three years.

Based on what little we know, IMO there's no obvious motive for Shannon's disappearance. It was reported in the media that her former BF's residence was searched by the RCMP, but what was found during that search, if anything, has not been disclosed AFAIK. We know Shannon's Jeep was recovered shortly after her disappearance, but again, no information regarding possible evidence from her vehicle has been released.

If Shannon met with foul play, IMO it seems odd that her vehicle would be found parked on a city street where it would be easily and quickly found.

MOO, but based on media reports and interviews with her friends, it seems highly unlikely that Shannon would voluntarily disappear.

There are still many unanswered questions in this case.

Shannon White has now been missing for 1,000 days

[...]
Shannon White has been missing from Kamloops for 1,000 days and her story continues to be shared online with local searchers not slowing down in looking for her.

White has been missing since Nov.1, 2021 when she failed to show up for a shift at her job at Kamloops Hyundai. Her Jeep was discovered abandoned on Nicola Street downtown the following day.

Police and Kamloops Search and Rescue crews did several searches in different areas of Kamloops for the two weeks following her disappearance without success, and the case remains an ongoing police investigation.

White’s aunt posted on social media on July 28 thanking the public for continuing to share Shannon’s story with a plea to share an online poster of her niece.

“1,000 days ago, on November 1, 2021 my niece, Shannon Doh White, went missing from Kamloops,” the post reads. “The next day, I shared a post of a missing poster of Shannon, created by her wonderful friends. That was the first time I asked everyone who saw Shannon’s story to please share. And you all did! And every time I shared Shannon’s story so did all of you! Thank You 1,000 times over.

Originally from Ontario, White was known to be sociable with many friends in the Jeep community in Kamloops who have conducted searches for her in the past, along with a memorial ride on the first anniversary of her disappearance.

The serious crimes unit has been involved in White's case since the beginning and the case has been identified as suspicious.

Three months later, no sign of Shannon White

Very old MSM report, but just a refresher regarding her disappearance.

[...]
On Nov. 1, 2021, White, 32, vanished after leaving her Bestwick Court home in Lower Sahali to drive two kilometres to her job at Kamloops Hyundai at 940 Notre Dame Dr. in Southgate.

Her black 1997 Jeep TJ was found abandoned the next afternoon, Nov. 2, downtown in the 200-block of Nicola Street and the RCMP’s serious crimes unit has been investigating.

On the day White left for work, her Jeep was spotted shortly after she was expected to have arrived at work, at 8:30 a.m. The vehicle was seen leaving Kamloops west on Highway 1 for a 45-minute period. Later that day, the Jeep was seen travelling north past Rayleigh on Highway 5 at about 5:30 p.m. before returning south at about 6:15 p.m.
[...]

[...]
Police also had a presence in the Silver Sage Trailer Court off Highway 5 in the days after White disappeared as officers searched the travel trailer of White’s ex-boyfriend. White’s friends have told KTW the two had a tumultuous relationship and breakup about a year earlier.

Police cleared the trailer court by Nov. 16, and, to date, no charges have been laid in connection to White’s disappearance, Evelyn said.

Cadaver dog to cover new ground in search for Shannon White, three years after mysterious disappearance - Kamloops News

''Three years after Shannon White mysteriously disappeared, a cadaver dog will soon scour a previously unchecked area outside Kamloops for any sign of her.

Members of the Search, Rescue and Detection K9s of BC have been searching regularly in the Inks Lake and Heffley Creek areas a few times a week, and once they secure time with a specialized search dog from Vernon, they plan to expand to a new area west of Inks Lake that fits into the timeline police have laid out regarding White’s disappearance.

Mike Ritcey, president of the SRD K9’s of BC, said while they’ve conducted searches for the missing 32-year-old since 2022, they’ve been “hitting it fairly heavy” the last year and are narrowing down the searchable area.

As soon as a human remains detection dog in Vernon is available, searchers will begin to focus on the new location, which Ritcey said fits into the timeline of White’s disappearance.''
