George Anthony chased Casey in desperation

Hope I did this right. First post. No transcript of it though.

Welcome RedSox ~ I was just reading that about George....

George Anthony described how he chased Casey Anthony on State Road 408 in late June -- more than two weeks before Caylee was reported missing to authorities. He said he was tired of her "evasiveness."

"I saw her leaving [the house] in my wife's vehicle," George Anthony said in an Aug. 4 interview with cops. "I saw her driving up Chickasaw and getting on the 408 ... I'm tired of this."

He couldn't remember what day it was and suggested investigators check his E-pass records.

"My daughter was driving fast as she could," he said. "I think she knew I was behind her . . . I was trying to stay a reasonable distance, maybe a 100 yards away from her."

He followed her to Hiawassee and Kirkman roads but lost her.

"I couldn't get over fast enough to find her," he said.

GA and CA were arguing at the tow yard. He told the tow guy that he was tired of his daughter's lies and he did not know where his granddaughter was. I think he was already suspicious at that point. Did he smell the car when KC returned the gas cans? I think he told LE in his interview what made him suspicious. I think he put up with KC's lies the least and that's why she told her friends she hated him. CA was the one who enabled KC. This could have been the "issues" for the divorce filing. Maybe after driving home the smelly car GA could no longer take it and had to get away from CA and her excuses for a while, maybe he was at work. I don't think he had anything to do with the disposal of a body. KC may have asked to see him in the jail because she knew he was the least convinced of her innocence and she thought she could win him over with her tears.

Why do George & Lee have 2 different versions of the what happened on the 24th when George got his Gas Cans back from Casey

According to George he said during his interview with greta that he went into the trunk himself & retreived the cans

But lee says otherwise

Why would George Lie about being in the trunk on the 24th?

Was it so he could say - "I was in that trunk on the 24th & there was no decomp smell"?

What did Casey do from 7am until 11am the morning of the 27th?

The car was at amscot at 7am & she didn't call Tony until 11am

Did she go home & shower?

Is that where the "Tyson chicken & Freeze Pops" came from?

If she did why didn't George tell this to LE?

Why does George decide to put down pavers on the 4th?

I know this has been touched on before but was this done by an outside company or did he do it himself?

If it was a company when did he first order the pavers?

anyone know?

I'm betting on the former. I think his behavior--and, really, to a certain extent, his words, in exchanges like the one with Simon Burch--is of a man who knows his wife will be very upset with what he has revealed.

I think he put two and two together very early and suspect that, like Lee, he was fairly open and informative, at least initially. He has not been nearly as adamant in his denials of Casey's guilt as Cindy; his denial has been that Caylee is dead. And one can't blame a grandpa who adored his little granddaughter for that, I don't think.

Cindy needs her denial so that she does not fall apart. George needs Cindy so that he doesn't fall apart.

They're a mess. A big mess created by Casey. While they make my head spin, I really hope that they have not placed themselves in real legal jeopardy for Casey's sake; they did not create her, except in the most basic biological sense, and should not have to shoulder responsibility for her heinous acts.

Could it be.............?..............George's interview will not be released to public because he admits he has been following Cindy's script? Maybe in his interview he clears up lots of things?
For so long I felt he was involved in the disposal. Now, not so sure.

George is the only one I can seem to muster up a bit of sympathy for. I have always felt this has been about Caylee for him. He doesn't seem to become irate over what protestors have said to Cindy and what not, but he really became unglued when people would mention Caylee being dead. I think he is always gone from the house as much as possible to get away from KC and Cindy. I don't think George helped KC get rid of Caylee, never have. Of course this is just MO.

Boston,

I don't think we know where the food came from. Not sure but aren't we just assuming it came from the house of A?

Surely, Casey made a key or had a key to as many places as she could...whether or not people knew she had a key to their apt or home. Thinking...food could be stolen from any one of her friends.

I am listening to George's audio tape and he sounds very honest and tells LE things that Cindy lied about but GA told the truth about. The detective apologizes for mentioning that incident in front of Cindy (it is mentioned on cindy's tape and she lies and says she doesn't know anything about that but she really did).

Everyone in the family seems very honest to me. EVERYONE BUT CINDY! Cindy and Casey are 2 peas in the pod!! Neither knows the truth if it smacks them in the face.

Another thing I see is that George madly loves Cindy. He would do anything to keep her happy but on the sly he is telling LE the truth. GA realizes CA can't take the truth and is doing his best to tell LE the truth about everything. LE also realizes that Cindy can't take the truth and treats her with kid gloves and very nicely in my opinion.

Maybe Lee just got messed up trying to remember what his father told him?? Regardless since L wasn't there, I'll take G's version of what happened (since it's first hand info).
ETA: Kathyn - ITA that G is trying to shelter and protect C as much as possible. She might put on a 'strong' front, but he knows her. They seem to be a couple that's managed to stay together thus far in spite of their kids - or at least in spite of the hell KCs put them thru...

I'm with ya on George and Casey's relationship. I think George was sick of her BS, was sick of Cindy's enabling her BS and I'm willing to bet it had lots to do with why he filed for divorce. I think George had had enough and called Casey on lots of things and that's why she claimed to hate him.

I'm not so sure though that he hasn't covered up for her after the fact. I do think he is very close to flipping his lid and when it happens it is not going to be pretty.

George definitely comes across as being honest and wanting to find the truth no matter how ugly it is unlike Cindy. Cindy seems like she has always buried her head in the sand regards to Casey and has always believed her lies. It appears George isn't like Cindy, but Cindy is most likely the dominant figure in that family. George basically alludes to that and even says Casey is like her mother. I have to say I feel more for George after listening to his interview.

Do you really think so?

I don't trust Lee anyway.
