Thanks so much for your lovely post back there Minni, and huge hugs to Gemini Girl too, and to all the parents out there who have lost a child :grouphug:

Just to pose another thought....

Let's just assume for a minute that GBC did NOT do it. But knows who did...

Who would he go to jail for? Who would he be protecting?

Maybe the common assumption is back to front? Maybe the other person did the deed (still don't know the why, how, where, when), and then GBC was the one who "tidied up" afterwards.

Who would he have such strong ties to that he would protect him or her by saying nothing? NBC? TM?

Just putting another possibility out there.....

And maybe the scratches etc were the result of him doing the Kholo Creek thing, but not due to Allison scratching at all?

Just idle musing here while I have a short break....

I think it's always wise to devote some brain space to thinking outside the square. All great whodunnits are written back to front, taking the first assumption of the audience and slowly unravelling it. That said, I do not think GBC was/is brave enough to endure a life sentence to cover someone else's arse. I might be wrong ... maybe his lawyers have him convinced that the case will ultimately be thrown out? Maybe he figures he can last two years until the full trial (provided he's in protected care)? But that's a HUGE risk to take, particularly in light of the circumstantial evidence already presented (let alone what hasn't been presented and which he must know will be presented in due course). The lies, the financial problems, the promise to TM ... surely he must know he's on a hiding to nothing. He doesn't strike me as a man brave enough to risk life in jail and all that time away from his girls. But then again, maybe he's still hoping that Daddy can get him out of this one too ... just as he always has. The boy scout who never grew up. MOO.

Well said Radster. I'm pleased to see you back here with us. :rocker:

I am new to this site, and i just want clarification of above: Does Toni M have young twins? I had heard she had a grown son, but had not heard about any twins!!! What was GBC hoping for- some ghoulish brady bunch family? I am shocked.

She definitely has twin boys.

Ok thanks guys....I think I've found a little something & I can't believe I've not noticed it before now as I've posted info from this link a gazillion times....have a peek....

The police files included a map, similar to this one, outlining the route from Brookfield where police believe Allison Baden-Clay was killed, to a bridge over Kholo Creek, where her body was found

I remember someone posting that map Marlywings (possibly several weeks ago) and they pointed out and queried the two little black circles on it, one is near Allison's house and the other slightly further down below the park on Rafting Ground Rd. I pored over that map and tried to compare it with other maps to figure out the relevance of the circles, but I didn't have much luck.

Can't remember the poster sorry.

Going by that map he went down Rafting Ground Road...not to the roundabout at Kenmore...

....& also..."to the bridge"...doesn't mention any other exits onto any other roads.

:banghead: That's why we think the roundabout thing just makes no sense!

I wonder if the circles mean anything. Looks to me like bottom of Boscombe Road & Winrock roundabout...hard to decipher... Dunno.

Marly, you are one great super sleuth. :rocker: I missed that map as well. There is no mention at all of the Kenmore roundabout. :waitasec: I initially thought that this may have been an earlier article and map published about the case and was later negated as further information came to light about the Kenmore roundabout route. The date of this article is the 27 June, so it's quite recent.

The pennies are dropping at a 54321 pace. :what:

MOO.

Glad you've stuck around too Radster. I have found your posts very worthwhile and interesting.

As for GBC taking the rap for someone else, I can't see it at all either. If anything, I wondered way back, and all but fleetingly, that if he and Big Daddy were both involved, whether NBC would take the blame for it all. I thought this vaguely possible, just because NBC is an older man, and in some ways might not have as much to lose, including time. But it would be very unusual for anyone to be prepared to take a possible life sentence for someone else, even if they were family.

MOO

Yep it is recent...it came out the the next week following the bail hearing.

Although it doesn't mention which way he went on the return trip...so perhaps that roundabout thing may still have something to do with that trip.

I've always thought (besides his kids) there would only be one person he would go through all this to protect.

Sorry DunnoZo I have to disagree- I think he would hang his kids out to dry if he had too save his a_se. Don't think there is any backbone in that creature- totally spineless. He is without a doubt someone who revels in in any sort of spotlight. He loves his public speaking but OMG how boring are his speeches- certainly not something we can get motivated about. And if his kids were over the top successful at sport or school or dance or some other hobby you bet your bottom dollar he would be in there working out how to gain some money out of it. I think in the ocean world they call them scum pluckers if you catch my drift-

So GBC takes Allison out to Kholo via RGRoad. Maybe after 10pm? regardless, the roundabout cannot be disregarded. Other activity that directly relates to GBC and family cars and most likely family members etc definitely happens at Kenmore, specifically at the village.

This 100% irrefutably in my eyes, says to me that, after the fact, he asks for help. His choices he made earlier in the night, on his own perhaps, are disputed by the person he contacts as being "not sensible' and it is then decided that further action needs to be taken. For some reason the RG Road route is deemed NOT suitable.

For me, this also adds creedence to to screams I have been dwelling on.

Good Job Marly :D whilst the media misreport a lot, this seems to be legit...
You have earned your wings again MW xx

Those dots occur on a google map when you alter the route.

Marly, just to clarify.... it says "to a bridge"

another champion in our midst......GOOD SLEUTHING MAKARA...it could be Kholo, or Wirraburra Rd (little Ugly)

Scout Camp seems to have fallen by the wayside for now hey??

I'm not clear as to whether that is an official police map, or a newspaper map?

If the latter, there could be all sorts of assumptions in it.

If it's a police map, then WHAT the heck are they concentrating on the Kenmore roundabout for?

That route on the map is certainly the one I would go, and probably 99% of Brookfield locals would also go that way. The whole Kenmore roundabout thing remains a mystery....

But the report states...to a bridge over Kholo Creek
