I have to go back through the thread, but I hope we are NOT discussing the sister, OW, as though she were a named person of interest or suspect?

You are allowed to discuss and speculate on what is public information/fact.

Hmmm - couldn't get to sleep, so just checking in again.

Re GBC's scratches - there would seem, logically, to be three possibilities:

(a) either GBC is telling the truth and that they ARE shaving cuts and caterpillar reaction resulting in scratches, or

(b) he and Allison had a fight which included Allison scratching him, and he, of course, realizes that it makes him look guilty of her murder, so he lies about the cause of the scratches, or

(c) he killed Allison and she scratched him during the assault, whatever that was - chokehold, strangle, smother, whatever.

One of those three would seem to be the case for the scratches.

If it was, in fact, option (b), then maybe, just maybe, (and here I'm just posing another possibility - not a theory) they had an almighty fight, including the scratching, following which Allison walks or runs out in a huff, to cool off. Hence the "walk" story, perhaps. And if she were then grabbed and killed by a third party, GBC would immediately panic, about everything, including the scratches, realizing that he would be incriminating himself. And perhaps the reason he called '000' so soon on that morning was that he knew she'd gone out in a huff and hadn't returned. Maybe the fight was during the night, and she went out in the small hours, and hence the call to NBC for help so he could go and look for her?

All that, of course, is pure supposition. Simply one POSSIBLE (not probable) explanation that would fit what we know.

But it does go to show that one can explain the facts that WE know in more than one way.

Ah...well done my learned friend the fight in the night and call to NBC for assistance is quite a solid idea. However, I'll play devils advocate here a moment if I may.

If GBC and the family are not involved in the murder then I say this: everyone is innocent until proven guilty ok - even if we the public choose to look at it other way round. For a family seemingly innocent of this heinous crime there has been very little to indicate it wasn't a sinister act. GBC has done everything he can to invoke suspicion and guilt. His family have travelled a similar road.

Cast your mind back to others in a similar position with much to lose. They sang loud & proud insisting they were innocent and complied with police. GBC did extremely little it would appear to allay concerns over his involvement. Look at the JonBenet Ramsey case. The whole world pretty much believed the family killed her. There appeared to b excellent MMO (means, motive, opportunity) they convicted without a trial basically! BUT they, the parents, never ever stopped SCREAMING it out they didn't do it and weren't involved and yet they also hired a legal team immediately and refused police interrogation for something like 5 months before they agreed to be interviewed formally. All the while saying "we're innocent, protect your children". DNA has all but cleared them it seems and 16 years on it remains a cold case.

So, to me, it's very interesting no one is speaking. Not her family, not his etc. etc. My feeling is it went ahead early or very wrong on that day....it didn't go the way GBC wanted it to or somehow it was an accident....and yet he sits back and no ONE says "hey there's still a murderer out there..better find him/her before they strike again". Guilty or not most people say that or their family do. All is very quiet ... too quiet on that front I think

I didn't get it until I walked out of the store. She was fussing over receipts, but not helpful to the staff. Taking up the line and bopping in a disengaged manner. I am still processing it.

Yeah, I didn't think she'd had much to say after the bail hearing either.
And yes, if he fed her a load of rubbish then she would have had a rude awakening. I just find it odd that she's not 'out there' anymore.

Olivia looked shocked when she came out of the bail hearing.

I thought his legal team got a copy of the affidavit prior, surely they would have pre warned her.

It was techno sampled stuff I think. Pretty shallow. It was an Australian remix loop. Stuff from the 50s through to now resampled. I have a cochlear implant but was hearing well today.

if allison had been drinking it would have been easier to smother or suffocate her, especially if mixed with anti depression meds, also could explain if it was her driving erratically?

Most definitely! Toxicology will assist with this I hope.

You know I love your work. All I can say is her incognito isn't working. Had been to a Kenmore coffee shop earlier and when I saw this woman she made me flash back to there. In those camping shops you see all sorts of travelers and I couldn't see her as one.

2 degrees tonight and I am all thermalled up.

That just gave me an idea, if GBC waded in to get to that culvert, surely not without shoes on so he'd have a pair of wet (potentially muddy) shoes to either explain or dispose of?

And I am sure his Mummy took on all the shoe and clothes cleaning for him and Daddy......... she is going to be asked that in court....perhaps with strong evidence too...

gbcs legals will most likely pick allisons character and lifestyle apart, to try to prove she was no saint and try to justify provocation.
from what ive read it sounds like she was a well loved and good person, who adored her girls and tried so hard to keep a happy home for them, although im sure, like most people, she was not perfect.
how horrible for her friends and family if they to have to hear sordid details of her life, and horrible for allison to have police, family and friends go through her belongings and diary and personal effects and secrets after death.
i really hope for her daughters and parents sake they cant find anyhing to shame her.

I've been keeping a post of yours in mind in which you mentioned the distance between NBC's home & the roundabout/bus shelter..ie..too far for him to walk that distance.

So I'm now wondering if after the facetime call, EBC dropped NBC at the bus shelter....GBC picks him up there on way to Kholo/Anstead to avoid the Captiva being seen at NBC's house. Then on the return trip, GBC drops NBC back at the bus shelter & EBC picks him up from there & heads for home.

I'm also thinking there may not have been two cars involved...two people yes but perhaps not two cars. Both GBC & NBC in the one car.

Police may have been checking the roundabout for the Captiva's trip outbound & it's trip back to home....& also maybe NBC's gold Suzuki or Statesman (whichever car EBC may have driven for the drop off & pick up at bus shelter)

Interesting in some of the initial MSM reports regarding the facetime call, they gave an exact time of 12.20pm that it occured.(later they rounded it to around 12.30pm).. if it was 12:20pm it could fit with your thought of NBC going to the roundabout shortly after, if you also take into consideration the poster on QPS FB page sometime back who stated they saw something 'odd' at the roundabout at around 12.30pm. IF it all fits.. a facetime call at 12.20, he hightails it to roundabout and something odd is spotted there around 12.30pm..
