Just wanted to agree with a few other WSers that this is the best thread I've seen for awhile. I didn't know some of this information and all of it is open to so many possibilities.

I've always thought that KC left the car on purpose, to further her kidnapping story. Didn't she leave her purse in it? But reading this thread I can see a different possibility - although it still doesn't seem to me that KC would want to be driving the car around. Also, I thought I was up on this case, but I didn't know KC and Amy bought a gas can - is this in one of the documents? (Sorry, I feel like one of NG's callers on this point. It surprised me to read this, though.)

Yep, all the calls for "Amscot out of gas", are in the interviews & in KC's phone records...& texts.

Amy states that they went to Target & bought a 'gas can', the morning of 6-30.........(unfortunately LE does not ask her if they then bought gas, or attempted to get the car.)

with that being said I would say that he did not date Stephanie.

Yep, the car/amscot/ still puzzles me....

Didn't KC tell the A's not to trust Jesse & Amy ?? they were the two she called about 'out of gas'...(did they know the car was at amscot??).

I think KC told the A's zanny must of abandoned the car.....that's why she didn't want them talking to Jesse or Amy.

Also explains why CA asked KC "why SHE (not you) never picked the car up.

Ohhhhh good point! I also caught that, that Cindy asked why SHE never picked the car up, "it doesn't make sense." And that's when Casey got mad and said give Dad the phone. No one's allowed to tell Casey something doesn't make sense. No questioning Casey.

KC was huntin' gas on 6-28 when she called Jesse (he was busy/to far away)
on 6-29 Amy was busy, then on 6-30 they went to buy the gas can......

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why didn't she just use George's gas cans? Where does that fit in, in the time line, when she had his and angrily gave them back to him? Why not ask him to borrow them again? If anyone said Dad I need to borrow your gas cans, my car ran out of gas, would anyone's Dad say "no"??? Seems to me she was definitely hiding something, didn't want her Dad near that car. How can she explain that away?

IIRc it was text messages between Casey and Amy,when Casey "left" her car there TL picked her up, and he stated that she was outside of the car waiting for him, and told him that her dad would pick it up and take it to the shop. Casey tried to get Amy to get gas cans for her on the 29th, and Amy was busy. She and Amy went to get gas cans on the 30th, but Casey hung out with Amy the rest of the day. So why not have Amy take her to the car, or did Amy know it was at Amscot, that I don't know. So when she does go after Amy went to work, Puff the car is gone, (would love to have been a fly in TL's jeep with her)so was she going to put gas in the car and some how come back and get it later, or maybe just move to keep it from being towed. That is the question, what was she going to do.

Just remembered Casey was also talking/texting that other guy while TL was out of town W.W. Maybe she was going to have him help some how. IIRC he even offered to help fix the car.

Read BJB recap in post 44.....If you recall the car chase (GA chasing KC) maybe KC went to the A's to get the cans (again), but saw GA coming & the chase was on ???.....this would of happened when KC driving Tonys jeep., on the 29th

they really didn't know each...... the Amscot out of gas, is the only part of this mess they were both connected to.

Why not blame Zanny for dumping the car.....LOL the A's aren't going to find her either.....

Good point about what was she going to do when she arrives at Amscot in Tony's jeep. So she would put gas in the car, leave Tony's jeep there, drive off and what? She can't drive 2 vehicles? Was she going to park it somewhere, so she could tell Tony her dad picked it up; if so how does she get back to Amscot to get Tony's jeep. Was this a way to just ditch the car until she could clean it up? Tony thinks her dad has it, but what does she tell Amy and what would she drive? If the car smelled I can see why she tells Tony it is broke down and her dad will pick it up. Ok, why does she need Amy to get the gas cans? Does she show up on foot outside Amy's apt.? So does Amy drop her off at Tony's? that doesn't make sense, Amy would bring her to her car to put gas in it. So what happened that day?

I would bet she did call and find that to be the case, if she did, it would be on her cell phone records. I don't recall it????

Also; I don't think she did want her car stolen as some think. This would be a major inconvenience to her to keep up the rouse of a job and where Caylee was. In the end she was faced with it anyway.

If 'Special K' has Amscot connections maybe KC asked her to call the tow co. ??

I too always thought she wanted the car back, I think she was cleaning/spraying the trunk regularly to keep the odor down.......
after sitting locked up for almost 3 weeks it got bad.

The call to Stephanie from KC on June 30th is at 4 53 pm....is it possible that KC left in TL's vehicle around the time Amy left for work , and then KC headed to Amscot with the gas can ? Once she got there she didn't see her car , so she called Stephanie and asked her if she knew anything about where her car was ?

coz purse is bedrock of my "identity", i.e. driv lic, soc sec card, cr. cards, etc).

The only plausible explanation is that, with car's compromising circumstantial status, she must have thought others would believe she'd been kidnapped.

Wouldn't KC's special friend "Special K" have been curious about car with
purse inside & alerted authorities. . .unless she knew something? I certainly
would call cops if I saw my friend's car w/purse parked at my employment
parking lot for several days.

It is possible that Special K doesn't work at that particular store and KC was using her connections to find out about the car. I think the pings showed her calling back KC the next morning. I also think that KC did not want the car to be towed or stolen and planned on going back for it when Amy left for work. I don't think Amy knew that the car had been towed. IMO

Special K might work for Amsot, but not "that" Amscot.

I think KC had more than one purse she was totin' around that month.

i thought it wasn't her purse but a bag for makeup, etc.?
