I think if the immunity request is limited only to conflicting statements and they are now willing to give a full and accurate statement, maybe including a polygraph, it should be granted.
Conflicting statements is a misdemeanor charge. Neither of them have any criminal record, they will not do time.
I would MUCH rather have their damaging testimony that they wanted to hide because it would focus even more attention on Casey as a premeditated murderer. I want to see the DP back on the table, and I want their testimony including all the shady things they didn't mention, the fight, the threats.
Note they did not ask for immunity for damaging evidence, moving bodies, scrubbing the trunk (I think Casey did that during one of the three back into the garage trips). Those are all felony charges with real time attached to them, if they did those things this immunity request would not shield them. I hope they give them the deal and get them talking.
I think finding the body was these parents needed to see the undeniable truth.
