Speaking of the local legal scene in Stuttgart...any locals care to share their thought or experiences with the judicial branch of government?
For example (and I realize work and volunteer work but me in a unique position to have this info) but I know which judges I want to see come up on the docket in my area, for certain cases. Such as child protective cases, guardian cases, cases involving a lot of technical evidence, major crime cases, crimes against women and children, racially heated crimes, hate crimes, etc. And which judges, when I see their names come up, well...my heart sinks.
Any local input on this available? No names needed.
Caring4, I included surveillance of several different sorts on a FOIA. I was expecting confirmation of 3 sources at least. Nothing so far. I also spent about 4 hrs on the phone dealing with casino securities, regarding video surveillance specifically.
Lemme tell ya, when you want to REALLY get frustrated? Try that, lol.
[QUO;11266030]Great! Now if you were to remove the existing gray box and draw a straight line from the Cell Tower on Hwy. 130 and the one nearest the river, the line will almost directly go through the Ideker's reservoirs (there are two side by side, the one on the left looks a little like the state of Maine). Make those two towers the tips of your diamond (lower left and top right).
Tower triangulation can be amazingly simple...or incredibly complex.
Wait.....did I just read that correctly?? LE stated that the Compton residence was chosen as a search CC because of its central location as related to pings from BRs or JCs phones??
Thank you for that clarification, but egads....now I REALLY have some questions!
Can you provide the coords for the property used as the CC? And who was the SAR coordinator organizing that search, utilizing that specific location as central to these 'unofficial' pings? And what was the time designation on these pings? Were they simply going by 'phone A pinged off tower 123, and phone B pinged off of tower xyz??
What kind of pings were they, for cryin out loud? Sorry got4, this is not directed at you, nor do I expect you to have these answers.
I'm just...idk. Amazed is about the only word I've got.
I'm now horribly concerned that we have a Gail Palmgren situation going on. Not insofar as what happened to her. But in how proper use of investigative anaysis of wireless and cellular devices can be imperative in locating missing persons.

Sorry to butt in but it peaked my interest too.
I would say either
34.519013, -91.380913 or 34.519364, -91.378737
got4 can you clarify pls? TY
I think the question I have Got4 is-when did LE ask for the pings? I'm sure you've seen my reference to the case I worked on with a missing mentally ill man. We obtained his pings many times over the course of close to 2 wks. At one point I was given a ping with in 30mins of his last location & told it was 3.74miles SE & given an address of that location. Now this person was turning their phone on & off. We needed to wait for it to be on. But still, it was pretty accurate & pretty fast. The location he was picked up at by LE later that afternoon was 1/2 mile away.
Like it was said earlier, this isn't toward you, just makes me curious if LE didn't initially buy the runaway theory, although they did have the mental health info given to them.
Coords of CC (CC defined as LEO using kitchen table and bathrooms in this house): 34 31'09.63 N and 91 22'44.76 W.
Coords of reservoirs to the SW of this house: 34 30'47.52 N and 91 23'35.52 W
I don't know who the SAR coordinator was -- it was an afternoon segment of the LE-sanctioned search which formed at the Stuttgart airport that morning with MANY branches of support (even looked like the Dept. of Corrections dogs and horses in a pic I saw). It is also my understanding this site was based on Cassie's phone's LAST pings before phone died on Sunday evening (Sept. 14). I would GUESS it was the river tower as it was closest. It bothered me why did it take so long (21 days) to do an official public search if based on pings? When I lost my Blackberry phone once, I had one estimate of distance on the southeast side of town within minutes. The next morning, it specifically showed me my phone was at the WalMart service desk. This is probably different software than Cassie's phone, but still . . . I also focus on the fact that Casscoe search was about the phone and Cassie might not have been the person in possession of the phone when it died. Could it have died when tossed into water?
I bet your journalist friend can get an interview with Detective Duke.
Good news about the press release!!
So sorry that I don't know the answer to any of that. I am trying to remember the date that JC and BR's phones were confiscated. That was between the Ch. 7 front porch interview with JBontke and the Ch. 16 interview at Gossip Shop with LUko. We know they were thinking about tracking phone pings at that point. And back to my own KK interview / briefing, statistics show MOST bodies are recovered within 5 miles of where victim was last seen alive. Casscoe is considerably further than 5 miles, which adds weight to the idea it may have been just her phone that traveled that distance. But the statistic might skew considering we are such a rural area and the territory might also be considered FAMILIAR for the POI even though he did not live there or have personal vehicle to travel there.
Thank you so much got4 for posting this information. :thud:
The (mis)information that I had was that this search was going off BR's phone ping and that Cassie's phone never pinged outside of her front yard.
I cringe too, because it means Cassie and/or Cassie's phone-or both- may be right under our noses.
Unless Cassie's phone was recovered, or she had more than one communication device in use at the time she went missing and that too was recovered...none of this makes sense.
A missing phone cannot be pinged unless it is functional. Cassie's phone was allegedly rapidly 'dead' after she disappeared. Before, in fact, the missing report was filed.
Have other people come forward who were able to call/txt/ etc Cassie's phone before it went 'dead'? Perhaps the Snyders? Other friends? Anyone??? You know, anyone who might still be in possession of their phone??
