Circumstances of Disappearance:
Tate was last seen in Clarksville, Arkansas on August 12, 1996. He and his wife got into an argument and both left their home. The last contact from him was with his mother on August 14. He has never been heard from since. He was driving a silver and black 1988 Eagle Premier which has never been located. At the time of his disappearance, Tate was reportedly upset over marital difficulties and an upcoming court date. His case is unsolved and his whereabouts remain unknown.

Adventures with Purpose mentioned his case when they searched Little Rock, Arkansas but that's quite a distance.

In 2020 a vehicle of a man missing out of New Mexico since 2002 was discovered by a fisherman in the Clarksville river, near the west boat ramp inside Spadra Park, under five feet of water.

Around January 2024 Adam Brown and Jeremy searched the Arkansas River for him and Kalieb Keith Pitts vehicles, starting from Spadra Park Boat ramp, then the west boat ramp, the marina, the S Crawford St Bridge, Cane Creek public boat ramp, the Horsehead creek boat ramp and a small ramp at the end of Red Oak Rd.
