Federal Judge Cristina Pozzer Penzo rejected the request of the Government of Corrientes to be a plaintiff in the case investigating the disappearance of Loan Danilo Peña and summoned the two Corrientes prosecutors who began the investigation to testify. The judge will ask Juan Carlos Castillo and Guillermo Barry to explain why they changed the case from disappearance to recruitment.

The judge also called journalist Alejandro Puebla to testify, who gave his version of what he believes happened to the child in a controversial video that he published on social media. What Pozzer Penzo is looking for in the presentation is for the journalist to “contribute his knowledge of the facts being processed.”

Unless there is some evidence that we don't know about, the only one the judge can clearly prosecute for lying is Laudelina. There is not enough evidence to convict anyone? We still don't know what happened to Loan...

On the day Loan disappeared, grandmother Catalina received a call from Buenos Aires. The specialists who examined Loan's grandmother's cell phone indicated that it had 31 contacts saved in it and that 166 calls were made during the day of the boy's disappearance and the following hours. In addition, as reported by Mediodía Noticias, it was determined that hours after the disappearance of her grandson, she received a call from Buenos Aires, from an unknown number. The call lasted more than 9 minutes. Now, the courts are examining this communication, especially since it was found that she also deleted 34 calls from his cell phone.

Mariano Peña, Loan's older brother, who had traveled to Buenos Aires with his father to lead the march called for this Thursday at the Obelisco to demand the appearance of the child, became ill during his meeting with the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich. The young man suffered a peak of stress and could not accompany his father to the mobilization in the center of Buenos Aires. Jose came alone. He did not come with his son. Mariano is not there, because in the meeting at the Ministry of Security with Patricia Bullrich he became ill and had to be treated by an ambulance that took him to the Argerich (Hospital),” the TN reporter began explaining.

Seems the family think a photo taken in Columbia may be Loan.

From Corrientes, María, mother of the little one, confessed to TN that the one in the photo is her son: “It's a Loan. Your face, your gaze. Your scar, your remolino”, she revealed.

The image of a child resembling Loan Danilo Peña in a shopping mall in Barranquilla , Colombia , began to spread in the last few hours. The family's lawyer, Fernando Burlando , confirmed this version on his social networks and stated that he requested that the trail be investigated.

This Friday, the Federal Court of Goya, in charge of investigating Loan's disappearance, has postponed the statement of grandmother Catalina Peña . Through a judicial statement, the woman was informed that she has the option of appearing this Friday to give testimony .

"Please appear and notify Catalina Peña if you choose to testify at the courthouse. Otherwise, the hearing will be rescheduled for next week, where the rest of the victim's direct relatives who have not yet appeared before these courts will be heard ," states the document, which was released by Noticias Argentinas.

On Monday, August 5, the Gesell Chambers will be used for the five children who were with Loan in the orange grove before his disappearance. Among the measures is the lifting of police orders in several homes in 9 de Julio and Resistencia, Chaco . Finally, the defense of former commissioner Walter Maciel has objected to the incorporation of evidence related to the minor's DNA and the intervention of the Ministry of Security.

According to this article the gma didn't testify due to bad weather.

....postponed the statement of the child's grandmother, Catalina, which was scheduled for this Friday, August 2. Federal judge Cristina Pozzer Penzo was to travel to the rural area where the woman lives, but due to weather issues they have decided to reschedule it.

Loan Peña's brother spoke about his grandmother Catalina, who this week came under scrutiny after it was discovered that she had deleted calls from her phone the day her grandson disappeared.

In a conversation with De Una Con Niembro on Radio Colonia, the young man referred to his grandmother's involvement this past week after the results of the tests on his cell phone and said: "Many times I wanted to clarify that, that I trust her, but I'm not going to defend her either because this is something very delicate."

In this context, Mariano emphasized that he believes it was his aunt Laudelina who deleted the calls on Catalina's phone the day Loan disappeared : "I think it was her who used the cell phone," and even pointed out that perhaps "it was incorrectly configured with respect to the time the calls were made."

The Senate of the Nation recognized the work of Alejandro Pueblas and A24 on the Loan case

The award given to Pueblas and the A24 news team highlights “ their exemplary journalistic work in the case of human trafficking, demonstrating the power that journalism has for democracy and for building a society free of violence.”

Days ago, Alejandro Pueblas, special envoy in Corrientes, voluntarily appeared before the court to testify as a witness in the case of the disappearance of Loan Danilo Peña .

Pueblas said that Marcelo Hanson, attorney for Daniel "Fierrito" Ramírez, was particularly incisive regarding a conversation between César Peña, Loan's brother, and Laudelina's youngest daughter.

The courts have decided to seize the cell phone of César Peña, Loan's older brother, who recently declared that his aunt Laudelina is responsible for his brother's disappearance. This discovery has led to César being summoned to testify at the 9 de Julio prosecutor's office, since compromising conversations with Laudelina's youngest daughter were found on his phone.

The missing child's grandmother, Catalina, has provided information that could change the course of the investigation. In an interview with A24, Catalina claimed that three individuals, supposedly lawyers, pressured her to declare that Loan's disappearance was an accident. "They came to tell me that I should also say that he died in an accident. That the van ran over him and killed him, and it was a lie. Three of them came," Catalina firmly stated.

In an unexpected turn of events, federal prosecutor Mariano de Guzmán has ordered a cross-referencing of calls between the phones of several people involved, including Loan's aunt, Laudelina Peña; her daughter Macarena; her lawyer José Codazzi; provincial senator Diego Pellegrini; and another unidentified official. This measure seeks to unravel the communications network that could clarify Loan's whereabouts.

Rafael Palacios, an analyst on the case, pointed out the inconsistencies in Catalina's accounts. "At some point she was going to step on me," he said, alluding to the contradictions in her testimony. Catalina's recent revelation about deleting 34 calls from her cell phone has added a new layer of mystery. According to Catalina, her daughter Laudelina was the one who deleted the calls. " She did it because the memory fills up and the calls don't come through. I answered, but nothing else. I have to dial the numbers," she explained, referring to her Samsung GSM GT model device.

Loan case: it was confirmed that the minor in the photo that went viral in Colombia is not the one

The examination of the image revealed that it is a two-year-old child, which is why it is not possible that it is Loan since he is five. In addition, the Colombian police confirmed that it was another child.

Loan case: the details of the Gesell Chamber and who is the mysterious "hooded"

Four minors who were present in the woods the day Loan Danilo Peña disappeared in the Corrientes town of 9 de Julio participated this Monday in a Gesell Chamber. One of the minors would have agreed with the information of the "hooded man" who took the 5-year-old boy, a hypothesis that had been raised since the first days of the search.

On June 13, the same day Loan disappeared, suspicions arose about a friend of Antonio Benítez , the boy's uncle and currently detained in the case. This individual is pointed out as the possible kidnapper , although the involvement of a second person is not ruled out. Investigators believe that the minor was taken from the scene on horseback, which has renewed attention to this lead.
