'Aruban stories': http://www.sacramentopress.com/headline/2601/HPI_in_Aruba_In_Search_of_Natalee_Holloway_Part_1

.....If you want to know how Natalee died, I know some of Joran's (Joran van der Sloot) circle of friends. I was told that Joran placed some drugs in her drinks and when he got her out to the beach, she went into convulsions. He had one of his friends drop her out in the ocean. Joran was scared when Natalee went into convulsions, because it was his drugs that killed her. Joran could only think of getting rid of any evidence and that was disposing of the body. That is why Joran did not call the cops, he is a coward.

.....also tells me that Joran called his father when Natalee supposingly died. It was Joran's father that took Natalee on the boat and dumped her body. This is the story that has been told repeatedly here in Aruba.

Remembering Natalee Holloway

Mother of missing student carries message of personal safety to students in Memphis.

FEBRUARY 6, 2009

On Thursday evening, more than 300 people filled the gymnasium at Rossville Christian Academy to hear Beth Holloway talk about her daughter, Natalee, who vanished on the night of May 30, 2005, during a school outing to the Caribbean island of Aruba. The 18-year-old girl's disappearance sparked a media frenzy, and Beth Holloway began her talk by showing video clips of Barbara Walters, Geraldo Rivera, Bill O'Reilly, Nancy Grace, and even Dr. Phil. Walters began her news segment in typically dramatic fashion, calling the case "every parent's worse nightmare: A daughter goes away on holiday and never returns." ...

...... Holloway began her talk in the school gymnasium by bluntly stating what she believed happened to her daughter in Aruba three years ago: "Natalee was kidnapped, raped, and killed. She went there to have fun, but she ran into others who had a different agenda."

Forty-five percent of all primary school children thought that the new US president dominated the international news to a larger extent than anybody else. Joran van der Sloot, the suspected killer of missing US teenager Natalee Holloway, came second with 22 percent. Peter R. de Vries, the crime reporter who instigated an undercover operation against Joran van der Sloot, received 15 percent of the votes.

Just recently we learned that Public Prosecutor Hans Mos would be having an early departure as the head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office on Aruba. That makes two Aruban Public Prosecutors come and gone and no justice for Natalee Holloway.

Early departure for Aruban Public Prosecutor

Saturday 07 February 2009

Hans Mos, the head of the Public Prosecutor's Office on Aruba, is to quit his position this summer. He has shed no light on the reasons for his early departure. The most important case handled during his tenure was that of Natalee Holloway, the US student who disappeared from the island in 2005. The case, which is still not closed and which is estimated to have cost more than seven and a half million euros, has led to increasing criticism of Mr Mos.

The announcement of his departure comes at a time when relationships between Aruba and the Netherlands are strained. The Aruban Justice Minister, Rudy Kroes, has accused the Netherlands of spying after serious allegations about Aruban Prime Minister Nelson Oduber and a member of Mr Kroes' family were found in a confidential document produced by the Dutch delegation to the island.

So, the other night I was watching some new program that was on, it was something about Homeland Security. It was one of those RL type shows, like cops.

So they go to the airport and guess who they show?

Patrick! It was sooo interesting, I fell asleep.:slap:

blah, blah, blah......they wouldn't let him in the U.S. to be on Oprah etc about the Natalee Holloway Case.

LMN, Lifetime Movie Network has been showing a preview of the movie "The Natalee Holloway Story". It will air April 19. I watch LMN alot and they repeat their movies quite a bit, so I'm sure this will be shown more than once.

Report: Cadaver Dog Dispatched to Aruba to Search for Natalie Holloway

A cadaver dog reportedly has been flown to Aruba to aid authorities there in locating the body of missing Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway, according to a report Friday in the New Times of Broward-Palm Beach, Fla.

I can only pray this is the LAST time I hear about trying to locate her body. These continual searches, reports, etc have to be unbearable for the parents of Natalie. The rollercoaster I think must be like reliving the 1st day over and over.

PLEASE let it be her, please give her family the ability to put her to rest. :praying:

Does anybody know how long a cadaver dog can pick up scent of skelotonized remains?

I almost don't dare to hope that this time she'll be found.

BTW, I wish her name, Natalee, was spelled right in the title to this thread.

Thanks, Christine, for correcting the title.:)

I am really anxious to find out what or who led them to the spot they want to check out.

There have been so many false leads over the years . . .
or good leads that went bad -- mishandled, covered up, ignored, etc.
